The most important part of the win was the way that defended. It’s one thing to blow a team out shooting uncharacteristically hot or something... it’s a totally different thing to choke them out like a boa constrictor. The message they delivered is that they’re all completely committed to this, and when locked in defensively they will destroy teams.
It's a long season. The win will get some attention and it won’t mean anything in June. But this team last year wasn’t sure what they were capable of, but they’re playing like now they know. Total commitment to the way they play, how they prepare, and to each other. That’s what Champions are made of...
