It could be the rage and embarrassment of the first election without a peaceful transfer of power.
Maybe it's the absolute devastation of American foreign policy that has accelerated the plummeting influence of the U.S. in the world.
How about not merely abdicating your duty as POTUS during a fucking global pandemic but actually antagonizing the situation because it puts a crimp in your election chances. You know, the kind of caring, engaged leader that doesn't bat an eye at over half a million deaths in a year.
