Reply to "It's Browns Week"

This has nothing to do with the Browns game, but I learned today that a good friend of mine died in his sleep last night.  72 years old.  We found each other at a sports bar in 1994 watching the Packers, don't remember the game.  Been watching with him ever since.

Two years ago he and I and another buddy went to an outdoors show (local South Carolina version of Ducks Unlimited) where they had an auction.  4 tickets for any Panthers home game were one of the items, 50 yard line, maybe 20 rows up.  Pack is visiting that year, so we'll go up to $600 and split four ways (with my son as the fourth).  We get to $500 and we're about to win, and I said something like "we're gonna get them."  He thought I told him to bid, so he did.  Ended up costing us $550.  We went, had a great time, Packers almost came back.  That was the game Newton ripped the Packer banner down in the end zone.

He would've loved x4.  Most negative guy I've ever watched games with.  Lots of examples, but here's my favorite:

Great play to seal a great victory.  Go to about the 30 second mark.  Rouse does his leap.  What does Alan have to say about the play?  "I thought he was supposed to be an athlete?  Can't even jump into the stands."

Sorry to derail a bit.  RIP, Alan.
