Of course they made the right move. Even if Brogdon is an All Star, they made the right move. Folks need to let go of Brogdon- it was an impossibility.

In the meantime, the Bucks are #1 defending 2s, 30th defending 3s. They’ve basically doubled down on last year’s success.

Is that fact they give up so many 3's also a result of teams being down by significant margins they need to bomb away to try and get back into the game?

I don’t think it’s a function of deficit. Teams simply shoot threes nowadays. They’re going to bomb away from the opening tip.

But the concern is a repeat of what we saw last year in the ECF. Van Vleet was unconscious, the Bucks unraveled offensively, and Leonard delivered the kill shots. But I do not think it was defense that failed them last year, though they gave up offensive rebounds that hurt them.

It was the offense that failed them. Middleton, Brogdon, and Lopez, all critical players stretching the floor, couldn’t find any groove. Giannis gets walled, no one can hit a clutch shot, and the leads evaporated before our eyes.

We have seen leads evaporate this year too. That’s the part that worries me...
