The weird thing about the national media pushing guys to the coasts (and Miami) is that they now have 4 of the best 10 players in the league in Los Angeles instead of Cleveland (LeBron), OKC (George), Toronto (Kawhi), and New Orleans (A. Davis). Besides Giannis, the only other major superstar outside of a major market is probably Chris Paul (Harden, the 4 guys listed above, J. Butler, Embiid, Simmons, Tatum, Beal).

Instead of looking at this and saying that the reason ratings are down is that half the teams feel they have no chance and the NBA wants a bunch of Washington Generals, the media is like "let's get Giannis (and eventually Zion - you know it's coming) to a mega market"
