I went to them last year with a 2-year, price-locked Comcast offer and asked if they could be competitive or I would leave. Stupid wench never even offered to transfer me to a retention specialist so I walked. I've gotten scads of offers from them since, but have another year at my current rates to go and Comcast's RedZone channel is pretty good.

I noped out a few years ago after they tried to force me into buying a base package after being with them for 15 years on the same setup (just nfl, nhl, and the sports channels) . They are relentless. I still get mail offers from them twice a month. Pisses me off every time I see them. I'll never do business with DirecTV again.
