This may be good for him on many levels. First, he won't have to sit on the bench watching his replacement. Even more importantly, he clearly had some major concussion problems this past year. It would be really nice to see him sit out a year during the transfer and then come back fully healthy and do well somewhere else. I could see him being effective for a MAC team or an FCS level team. For all his faults in terms of playing at a higher level, he seemed like a good kid that was well liked by everyone in the program. He's obviously not an NFL-level talent, so let him have one last year to have some fun and then get on with his life.
