Pettine's defense is heavily reliant on Safeties and ILBs playing smart, savvy football...I think that's where Jones seems to struggle. He's aggressive and instinctive, but he's too often either out of position or guessing poorly. I wasn't going to be surprised if he was a training camp casualty anyway, probably a candidate to get shipped somewhere for a conditional late to mid round pick.

Smart is the key word here .....a word never to be used in the same sentence as Jones
