Reply to "Tyler Herro"

He’s has been impressive. The thing that’s a little surprising about him is his length- he’s listed 6’5”, but I think he may have grown a bit since the start of the season. He sure plays longer- finishes strong around the basket, rebounds strong for a G, and can go by guys. The kid’s a natural born scorer. He’s only 20 ffs- great to see a WI kid make a splash.

But like many young guys who splash early- the league’s going figure you out. Find your weakness and exploit it. How you handle that will determine what your career will be. He’ll need to get stronger. That’ll help on D end. But he’s also very aware, super smart, thinks the game really well. He has a bright future, no doubt.

It makes me think of DD... if he can improve handling the ball and finishing, he too could really become an exciting combo G. People forget DiVincenzo was basically a rookie this year. Herro had his ups and downs, too. The shutdown really helped these younger guys, as they didn’t have to deal with the grind of the season. 4 months off eliminated the aches and pains, the attrition. Miami has really benefitted from that. Adebayo’s injury is something to watch, though...
