The Vikings have absolutely zero to play for in week #17, other than professional pride. They are locked in at #6 seed. It's a pre-season game for them against the Bears.
If I was coaching purple I would treat this game like a bye week to get as healthy as possible for WC weekend.

I think Zimmer is in a no-win situation for this game. He rests starters and their last game was a whopping, inept loss at home to their arch-rivals; they played badly and got stomped -- do you want that as your last tuneup before the playoffs? But, if he plays his starters to try to correct some of the mistakes, even for a few series, he stands a chance of injury -- or worse yet, they poop the bed again. How's that go over right before playoffs?
