I saw every game he coached in Title Town....born in '48. However what I remember most was the Vince Lombardi Show. He was interviewed for the first half of the show and broke down a few key plays with the host, then a player joined for a few minutes and Coach kind of chided and praised him for a few minutes. Throw in a few audience questions and a look forward to the next game and the show was over.
He was down to earth, humble and very good with people. He taught us kids a lot about football. Most still applies today, my fav is this," blocking and tackling wins football games". How true.
