Lol Fedya! You can't fight the primal allure of that straight 4/4 beat! Just ask everyone who thought disco was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Straight 4's on the bass drum, 2 and 4 on the snare drum, and 16th notes on the hi-hat. The, "bozo" beat as I called it. Used to drive me crazy and bore me to death. I'm always up for a good 3/4 waltz or polka though. I love playing in any time signature that's a multiple of 3! It's something you rarely think about but it's amazing how many of the most popular X-Mas songs are written in 3/4 or 6/8 time.
