They might be able wrap this up this week. Hard to see where they’re going to lose in the next 2 series’…

The Brewers have lost 3 series since the All Star Break.

One to the team with the best record in baseball when they lost one of those games because Garcia simply dropped a fly ball with 2 outs in the 9th.

They were swept by the 4th place in the AL Central KC Royals. They lost 2/3 to the 5th place in the AL Central Minnesota Twins.

Baseball is weird.

Fastball Freedy back on track tonight. Thru 6 innings he has 9 K with no walks and only 2 hits.   Game is now in rain delay top of the 7th with a 0-0 score. If the Brewers can score in the 7th and hang on Freddy can still get the W.

Pirates beat the reds so the magic number befoe the Brewer final is now 4.   But guess what, that nember also pertains to the Cards now who are tied with the Reds.       Padres, Cards, and reds all tied for the 2nd wild card spot pending eodays finals.

Good post. I wonder how much long-term damage missing the entire 2020 season will do to some of these guys still at the prospect stage going forward. Corey Ray maybe isn't going anywhere at this point (he did get a cup of coffee in Milwaukee this year). He and Brison seemed to be can't miss to be at least contributors but neither has amounted to anything so far.

The 2016 minor league season and the guys added in 2017 seemed to be the key. By that point, the big 3 starters are all rated as top prospect (Woodruff- 3, Burnes- 5, and F. Peralta - 9). Even Houser has come in and is in the top 20. They seemed to develop more quality pitching the in minors in 2016-17 than in what seems like the 20 years before that.

Obviously you don’t want to be accused of hubris.

Can we agree that you shouldn’t  be betting on baseball? 😀

Reds lose, Cards win so it stays at 4 with the Cards.   Only Reds play at Pirates today.  Big weekend coming up.  Dodgers go to Cinncy,  Brewers host the Cubs and Padres are at St. Louis.   Going to be a wild 2 weeks for the 2nd wild card.

Maybe it is me. On 9/7 I commented that Yelich’s average was climbing, now up to .260.

He’s gone 3/26 since with one double and 2 RBIs.

So…

- Yelich is a lost cause, he sucks, he’ll never hit again

- The Brewer lineup sucks, they’re wasting this team’s superior pitching, they’ll never hit in the post season

- Woodruff/Byrnes/Peralta will wilt in post season

- the Brewers will never win a World Series

And I’m putting my socks on left to right, only brush my teeth up and down not side to side, spin 3 times before I leave a room, only make left handed turns, and only drink my milk with my right hand. Good?
