They may have to sit him for a while. You can't fumble on a run like that. You understand maybe getting it poked away from behind or on a blindside hit, but not when the guy is right in front of you.

I agree completely. That does not send the right message for future games against teams where a mistake like that is fatal

But you can't break his confidence either, it's a fine line to walk.

Agreed. Sending the wrong message to him and the other running backs. As much as I like him; he needed to sit for at least the rest of the half and maybe the rest of the game.  The fumbling will hurt them badly in a big game down the road. 

Certainly not trending in the right direction. Something he definitely needs to clean up.
