Here is some All-22 clips I made from the 1st half of the game.   Will upload 2nd half clips Wed or Thurs.

Run Defense

4 DL on the field all all of them end up on the ground. Keke and Adams in particular just get wiped out. Kirksey with a good effort but not even Ron Jeremy himself could fill that hole.

3rd n 1, Adams is on skates, the rest of the right side of the line isn't much better.

Nice run design against man, poor awareness by Z and Barnes.

2nd and 9 from the 9 yard line. Packers play Dime. (2DL, 3LB, 6DB with Green at LOS) Lions isolate Greene in the hole, he makes the tackle but after a 7 yard gain. Noone else can win thier 1 on 1 to provide help.

3rd n 1, this time we are in Nickle, Amos fills the hole but isn't stout enough. Not sure we have a ILB on the roster who fills any better though.. So...

Pass Defense

2 man route off PA, pressure from Lowry and Barnes prevent a decent gainer.

Packers have 5 LB's with 2 DL. Smith is free range on the interior. I think this is how they are planning on playing to stop the run in the middle of the field until Clark returns. Anyway, PA sucks the LB's in and Jaire is one on one w/ Jones and covers him like a wet blanket.

Don't run bubbles toward Jaire. How do teams not know this yet?

Run Offense

1st play for the O and the left side of the line, with Lewis, sets the tone. Nice read by Jones to cut back as both Det LBs flowed to far. .

Patrick gets blown up, Williams turns it into a 1st down anyway. Nice run.

It's not an All-22 review without a Jenkins pancake.

Pass Offense

1st 3rd down, Rodgers recognizes it's man coverage and goes to the stacked formation to create some separation for the crosser. This first down is all scheme and brain.

The turdburger drop. Great play design with everything going left except for the turd, look at that green in front. Ouch.

2nd series.. Again, Rodgers see's it's man, calls the crosser. Sexy.

Rodgers recognizes blitz man, brings in Williams for protection and hits the, you guessed it, crosser. This is still the 2nd drive.

He doesn't get the ball here but nice route by MVS.

Really like what they are doing creating space for receivers, something this O just hasn't seen enough of in a long time. That mesh concept pass to Jones was wonderful. One of those 2 guys are gonna be open every time.

In that MVS play, the motion was the absolute key to that play. The DB followed Ervin and it opened up the middle which made it an easy pitch and catch to Adams. Better throw by AR, or that goes another 10 ish yard most likely.

Between the increased trips formations where they are specifically designing to create space, the increased motion, and the increased crossing, this O looks SO much better than the last 3-4 years of McCarthy and last year. Even when they were scoring those last few years, everything just felt like a painful grind that required absolute perfection to move the chains. I've said it both weeks, but there's been SO many times where there were "easy" yards that kept the chains moving.

Love the All - 22. Great stuff. Thanks for posting @BrainDed

That's good stuff.

MVS really sold that route (where he didn't get the ball) & helped open it up underneath -- Right on!

On Sternberger's drop the worst he gains is the 20-25 yard line & obviously more if he can break a tackle -- That is outstanding play design & holy shit I haven't seen that since like 2014 I think?!

Aaron Jones & Bakhtiari are must re-signs

Nice that the whining toward Kevin King has slowed down. (Hysteria currently shifted towards Eric Bledsoe in the Bucks Forum)  Point is, King has been playing really well. Gonna be difficult to keep him.  Too bad as he and Jaire have become a very nice tandem.

Hoping Jerry Gray can get Savage on track. Guy looks pretty bad right now...poor angles, missed tackles, etc... Sometimes it takes a while (see Nick Collins) might be that the lack of pre-season slowed his path. C'mon Darnell !!!

This might be what Rodgers was talking about in the “hashing out” of the offense that he and MLF went through in the off season. He’s spent the last umpteen years throwing bubble screens and hitches and out patterns (watch the Cowboys offense if you’re feeling nostalgic). Meanwhile those crossing patters against man coverage have been the main killers against the Packers defense for years- and you never saw it from the offense.

Brady, Brees, now Mahomes... these guys are making a living off these “impossible to cover everyone” routes while Rodgers has been running around in the backfield buying time for receivers jogging around in the secondary. Now this Packer offense looks like all these other offenses we’ve seen gash the Packers defense- with a trigger man who is better than all of them reading, reacting, and anticipating what the defense is doing.

We’re finally going to get a chance to see what Rodgers can do with weapons and scheme on his side. I’ll bet the DCs all over the NFL are cringing at the idea that Rodgers finally has been unleashed. And because he’s getting rid of the ball faster than we’ve seen ever, he’ll have a chance to be healthy for all 19 games...

I've stopped being too hard on 2nd year DBs.  It always seems like there is some regression or just plain struggling.  I think part of it is they feel like they've got the defense down and play too fast or with a bit too much bravado only to get schooled.

I think most of the whining is because they passed up drafting a Badger (TJ Watt) who is now a two-time Pro Bowler and a borderline DPOY candidate. If Watt hadn't have been from Wisconsin it wouldn't have been as big a deal. Watt was drafted #30 in Round 1. If teams would have known he was going to be this good, he would have been a top 10 pick, so it's not like just the Packers passed him up.

King has had some problems adjusting (as most college DBs do), but I don't think people necessarily questioned whether he had NFL talent - it was availability. He was hurt for large parts of his first two years and finally played a full season last year.

He's looked good the first two weeks this year. Not Jaire Alexander-level, but if he's your #2 CB you are in good shape.

The problem is whether he will stay healthy if you sign him to a large contract extension.
