Late to this epic MNF party. Mrs. Blair Kiel is celebrating a birthday today and quite honestly, it's one neither of us are happy about. She claims to now be 16....... Celsius . So yeah, Fedya, the kinky train has definitely left the station.

Show you? While Randall played well as the other starter against the Jaguars, Rollins was benched midway through the game in favor of Gunter, who also struggled.-ESPN Quinten Rollins allowed two touchdowns on three targets while Kentrell Brice allowed two catches for 49 yards with 33 yards coming after the catch.-Washington Post THUMBS DOWN The Packers used Randall in the slot for much of camp, but inexplicably they went with Quinten Rollins there in the nickel package. Maybe it's just me, but the Packers seem to be running a lot more crossing routes, etc. lately and that seems to have coincided with Adams' ascension. It seems to have loosened opposing defenses up just enough where Adams' ability to cut in enhanced while his lack of deep speed is minimized.

Losing Earl Thomas is the equivalent of losing Nick Collins. It took the Packer defense years to recover from losing Collins (I would argue that if he would have stayed healthy, they probably win at least another Super Bowl). As someone said, Chancellor is a great safety in run support (one of the best I've ever seen), but the reason he lasted until the 5th round of the draft is that he runs a 4.69 40. Here were his weaknesses according to NFL.com when he was drafted: Earl Thomas covers up...

I remember Newsome quite well but I don't think his loss was as big as losing Colllins. I don't recall the secondary suffering as much after 97 as I do after during and after 2011.

Nick was darn near close to being a generational player at safety. It took him a couple of years to get acclimated to the league but then, wow. He was under appreciated so much, I think because he was perhaps, after Ed Reed, the greatest modern day "center fielder" type safety. Except that highlight reel hits and interceptions weren't his game... providing sideline to sideline top cover for his teammates was. I seriously doubt that Dom would've used Chuck the way he did, as a gambling Swiss...

I enjoy camping. Tent camping. Real camping. During a week long camp excursion you can hop in the lake with a bar of soap and scrub the general and two colonels and wipe down the bunker. It's "lake clean". My point is there are wildly varying degrees of clean. Sanitize clean with a spot free rinse? No. Lake Clean? Yes. That's all I'm saying.

In the post season, defense still wins. The Giants defense is much better than the Packers defense. The Giants secondary especially has been playing great; they still can rush the passer, though not like 2007, 2011, blitzing more than they used to. The Packers secondary is a train wreck and as usual the Packers have little to offer in the pass rush. Neutralize Beckham and go from there. The Giants OL is average, so the Packers need to pressure Eli against that OL. Flowers has had a number of...

Thinking about Hyde, Gunter, whoeverthe****, and even Burnett manning the CB position ...now that the position is a train-wreck. They might be slow-footed but at least they have been more assignment sure than Randall and Rollins. Those guys have simply been undependable....poor technique, missed assignments, missed tackles, etc... Hopefully just confused kids that can turn it around, but injuries...

Madison could be promising, but he hasn't been in camp since his team mate and best friend killed himself. Good and great big bodies that can play at the NFL level are not that easy to find. What makes it harder is the fact that they don't always 'mature' at the same rate. It's a crap shoot and hindsight is always 20-20 except when you hit.

He did show a very good arm in the limited time he played, who knows, maybe that's enough for another team to put him on their roster. I really hope we're able to keep him, he's got some tools you can work with, and 2 years from now might be able to really help somebody.

OL? Going into training camp, I'd agree. Now? They have had a slew of injuries on the OL. Their swing tackle (back up to their starters) just went on IR, they lost their starting center, traded for one from the Giants, who also have OL problems, lost LG Easton for the season and at one point, had their 3rd center playing before trading. Viking OL is a mess and it showed some in week one against the Whiners.

Melvin Gordon got my vote. His explosiveness was just stunning. What he did to a ranked Nebraska defense when he set the record in the Camp Randall snow to me should go down as the greatest single game rushing performance in NCAA history. 400 yards in 3 quarters? Against a ranked opponent? There hasn’t been a performance that stacks up. And his second best performance- 216 yards on 9 carries against Nebraska his redshirt freshman season in the B1G Championship Game was a prelude of what was...

Just heard Ryan Leaf saying that he talked to someone “close to Aaron’s camp” and he’s, Aaron, not upset about the pick, just that after 15 years he wasn’t even informed about the whole situation. Who knows.......I would want Aaron to just be a man and deal with it. Just hate when he becomes the problem, and that’s all the talking heads will be talking about.

Aaron is a realist and I doubt he’s upset they took a QB or that he wasn’t notified before the pick, but it sounds like Gute was on the hunt for a QB and maybe didn’t give Rodgers a heads up in advance of the draft. He doesn’t need Aaron’s permission, but I do think it’s cool to give him a potential heads up that there could be a media firestorm heading his way. The narrative is going to be a sensationalized “Aaron vs. Jordan” through training camp and preseason and any time Aaron struggles...

This sums up how putrid the current Packer WRs are: "The Green Bay Packers ended the 2019 season with two homegrown wide receivers seeing action in a 37-20 loss to San Francisco in the NFC championship game – and Marquez Valdes-Scantling played just one snap. Undrafted free agent Allen Lazard was the team’s second-leading pass catcher at the position with 35 receptions and he didn’t make the team out of training camp and didn’t play until Week 5. With the departure of Geronimo Allison in...

Who said INTs only? You based everything on INT totals. Yes, the whole premise is highly debatable. If every QB can be "fixed" then there wouldn't be a huge need for QBs who can actually play the position. You could just pluck whoever and train him up and off they go in the NFL. BTW, nice "last 2 years" selective stats. How about 17 INTs in Love's last year., the one before he was drafted into the NFL, which should be much more forgiving. Love tossed 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, was...

How can you objectively measure “decision making” other than INTs? Everything else, like “on target throws”, is completely subjective and varies depending on who looks at it. It’s the same issue you have with PFF. 17 INTs is not a good total and clearly indicates an issue in 2019, but only 6 INTs in 2018 also says something important, which is why I pulled stats from both years. Context for both seasons is important, just like it was for all the QBs who put up similar stats their last 2...

I understand the train of thought, but that idea doesn't sit well with me. We've seen a number of years where players seemingly mailed it in, and it was vm due to the fact that they took for granted their job was secure. Because with Sherman and MM their jobs were secure. That's the mentality that's played a big part in the slow but gradual dissolution of this team. Idr if it was Josh Jackson or Josh Jones- on the Loins td- that was an embarrassing display of lacking effort. And there have...

I agree with this. Though Beal would be great, the Bucks could do that in the off season. Bledsoe and Middleton are not tradable assets unless the deal is for a total train wreck contract. Like Wall (pre-injury)- a completely untradable contract. Sure the Bullets would love to do that trade. Or Blake Griffin. That’s the only kind of trade that two approaching FA players would make sense to deal. No, I think what we have now is what they’re going to be. They’ll have lots of money for their 3...
