I think the problem with Rollins is he just isn't very good. He was benched due to performance prior to Shields and Randall going down. Richard Rodgers has been Kellen Winslow in comparison speaking of wasted 2nd round picks.

The Good: Passing offense came to life after miserable first three series. Here's a thought - start the game thinking you're down three scores. The Bad: Special teams continue to be awful. Pretty amazing when you consider the positional breakdown of this roster. The Ugly: 1) You have a GM who's entire philosophy is to draft, develop, and resign his own for good deals. He's failing on all three of those. Meanwhile, 31 other GMs have figured out that you can also trade and use free agents to...

The Good? The Packers may very well be drafting in the top 5-7 in 2017 after going 4-12 or 5-11. The Ugly? After choosing that high draft choice, it's equally likely it'll be Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy and Dom Capers high fiving one another after they make the pick.

The Good. 1. Cook showed how much the offense can benefit when you have a TE that is a receiving threat. They really haven't had that since Finley. 2. Rodgers missed a few, but it was clear that Cousins was also having problems with balls thrown in the flat because of the wind. A couple of those moved several feet when thrown in that direction. Other than that, Rodgers played pretty well. The OL can't run block and can't really protect, so Rodgers is what's keeping them somewhat respectable.

The problem is that they are more than 1 player away from being a top flight contender again. They are about 4 players away and that's if those players are Ezekiel Elliott, Richard Sherman, Joe Thomas, and a healthy JJ Watt.

Agree, this team is far from one player away. Which is why it continues to be so damn frustrating Ted is so obsessed with the draft and completing his roster with UDFA's and almost never considers free agency. The one thing we know about Ted's "tree" of exec's that have since left him...Reggie McKenzie, John Dorsey, and Schneider is that these guys will use and sign veteran free agents to fill their rosters. Ted simply refuses to. And considering he's missed on key players in his last 3...

I agree it would be nice to see a more unified front, but do you really see every other GM in the league stand up and be accountable for losses? I don't keep up with other teams press conferences, but are Dave Gettleman and Steve Keim taking the heat for their coaches right now? Maybe they are, I honestly don't know, but my hunch is that most GM's stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. Guys like Jerry Jones do it because they love the attention, but I don't think that is part of the...

Injuries aren't anyone's fault, that is just bad luck. TT gambles annually that they can sustain injuries and young guys can step up, sometimes it works (2010) and sometimes it fails (2016). It's a risk/reward scenario, the reward is that you get to essentially redshirt young talent like Gunter and Trevor Davis which is beneficial down the road. Normally I'm okay with the strategy, but he gambled in some very odd ways in 2016: -Keeping 7 WRs and only 2 RBs. I'm okay with 6 WRs, but RB is a...

The main problem is what I've said for years now: coaching. Dom the Maniacal Wizard continuously puts guys in horrible positions to succeed. With our DBs and LBs devastated by injury, I expected to see HaHa and Burnett patrolling the middle of the field deep to keep things in front of them and react to the ball. Instead, they are either on the boundaries or crashing into linemen with no hope of making a play. Our defense is like a cross between a chicken with its head cut off and a wet paper...

Sartori, good call from my previous post. I would be in favor of Wolf being the new GM, but mainly because I know who he is and I respected what his dad did. I don't know anything about the rest of the front office other than Ball. GD, I'm not saying I'll enjoy them losing, but mabye this team needs the advantage of drafting in the top 10. It's no guarantee they'd draft a superstar, but it seems like it's more likely than limping into the playoffs and drafting at #24ish. It's kinda like...

I thought the consensus is TT would never draft a RB in the 1st round? I thought the Packers did a good job adding team speed on defense last year, primarily LB. I hate to say it, but we need to do the same at CB this year. Offensively, the added speed at WR came at the expense of smerts, experience, and/or skill. It's too early to make a call on Davis or Allison, but if we draft another fast WR, it can't be another 'project'.

There are actually a few players who need to have their 2017 cap hit adjusted based on their production...Matthews will hit us for 15.2 million, Cobb for 12.75, Shields for 12.125, and Nelson for 11.55. All should be candidates for restructure as that is an absurd list of cap hits for the production. -Clay's glorious return to OLB has him on-track for a dominating 25 tackles and 5 sacks. Do we want to be on the hook for 15 mil this time if his hamstring flares up again for weeks at a time.

Bull****. Tim Cook is out front doing interviews, talking about the company status, upcoming products, or being out front when speculation is bad or good, as well as doing the shareholder presentations. It's not confidential company information, but he sure as heck doesn't hide from news, good or bad. Quit whining about "the media" like it's some sort of bogeyman. They serve a function.

Supposed to be catching a flight out west early tomorrow morning so it could be an adventure with the snow. Not so much for a football game. Meant to be played in these conditions. What's got me a little concerned is the current temp is 15 without the wind chill. Good thing Brent isn't playing.

Not sure by gametime but spoke to the family and it's snowing like a mofo right now. Bad weather slows down the pass rush (good for GB) and helps the running game (not good for GB). It helps immensely that the Packers played at home last week as at least they have an idea what the field will be like. That's different than that idot Pete Carroll who proclaimed something like "we live and play in similar conditions?" Uh, when does it snow or get 15-20 degrees in Seattle Pete? I don't dislike...

The 2 point try from the Vikings has been THE sports talk today. That play has been analyzed 1000's of times now, there has been MUCH wailing and gnashing of teeth, discussion of referees, replay... And, of course, that should've been a penalty against DallAss. It reminded me somewhat of the play vs the Cards where ARod got hit on the facemask and it wasn't called. What nobody is talking about is the Vikes LT moved early on that play. He is starting his set while the other OL are still in...

While Treadwell continues to get nothing accomplished Jason Spriggs is learning how to play guard. Might have been a good selection for Minny Rick has free wheeled his way to 9 first round picks over the last 5 years. His team sucks. He has no first rounder next year. I hope Rick gets a nice extension. Its also important to note the Vikings have never won a Super Bowl.
