FTFY. The NFL has figured out this offense and MM's 11 personnel package well over a year now. And the only thing hiding that fact was 12 playing like Joe Montana. And he hasn't since early 2015

Re: Josh Sitton Released - signs w/CHI 3yrs

MichiganPacker2 ·
If they cut an All-Pro guard solely because he got upset and screamed about not getting his contract redone, then TT must really be getting a thin skin as he gets older. At worst, Sitton gets pissed and sits out games - he doesn't get paid and the Packers hold onto him until he either decides to play or they trade him. If Sitton would have gone on IR because of an injury, a lot of us would be comparing to Jordy's injury last year - a season-altering event. Sitton has built a borderline Hall...

I find them silly as well. Actually the guy I've seen that reminds me a little bit more of Favre is Mitch Trubisky. The way he moves in the pocket reminds me of Favre a bit, and he has a reckless side to him, though his arm is a notch lower than Favre in terms of arm strength. Mahomes doesn't remind me of Favre at all from what I've seen of him so far. He's not as reckless, he's much quicker, and just overall I don't see Favre in him. Heck it wasn't until Favre was well into his 4th season...

I'm as big a fan of Starr's as anyone here, but if he listens to everyone else involved in 1981 and drafts Ronnie Lott instead of Rich Campbell things end a lot differently. Campbell is clearly on the Mt. Rushmore of bad Packer draft picks. https://www.packers.com/news/p...ick-on-a-qb-18714055

I think McCarthy's a good coach, far better than I ever dreamed he he'd be, but there's no doubt that Aaron Rodgers can make any coach look better than they really are. Aaron Rodgers can make a bad coach look mediocre, a mediocre coach look good, a good coach look great, and a great coach look like God himself came down and was coaching. I think McCarthy is a good coach, but there's no doubt that being associated with 2 Hall Of Fame level talents at QB has certainly given him an advantage...

Was in 8th grade for the '82 World Series and I agree it felt like that team would remain strong for many years. By '84, the Brewers were the worst team in baseball and ::gulp:: I admit that I rooted for the '84 Cubs since they weren't direct competition for the Brewers at that time. Maybe the most frustrating thing about the mid to late '80s was that the Brewers were regarded to have the #1 Minor League farm system for like 3 or 4 years in a row. You would have thought that would have...

Re: Majik's ring

I had no idea he was in the Packer HoF. I remember that one nice season in '89 but that team didn't even make the playoffs. He seemed like a nice guy and had some terrible luck but doesn't really fit in with the rest of the QBs in the hall. His biggest claim to fame seems to be losing his job to Favre. Wally Pipp was a nice player but he didn't get into the Baseball HoF just because Lou Gehrig took his job.

Years from now Jeff Saturday will tell his grandchildren that he's one of the few center's to snap the ball to two Hall Of Fame QB's. Good signing. It free's TT up to find a DE / OLB with the 1st pick. Packer stock has more value than mock drafts. But I've seen more than a few with Nick Perry from USC being avaiable when GB selects.

I disagree, CitizenDan. '98 wasn't as bad because while yes, the missed call gave the 49ers a chance to win the game that they shouldn't have had, we still had the opportunity to play defense and win the game. It didn't outright decide the game. Also, while it was a bad call, you can understand someone missing the ball popping out and blowing a whistle. Instant replay didn't exist at the time, and I think the current incarnation of instant replay needed some tweaks before they added the...

Marvin Lewis won't be fired. He's actually a good coach, but the Bengals are a complete joke in the front office. The fact that he made the playoffs at all is impressive. I've heard that their scouting department is practically non-existent and Mike Brown (son of Paul Brown) tries to run the team like his dad, only Mike knows nothing about football whereas Paul was a hall of fame coach.

Let's look beyond those at each player's first seven seasons, keeping in mind that Stabler, like Rodgers, barely played in his first three (and that under the playoff system of 1976, the Packers wouldn't have even made the post-season in 2009 or 2010): Winning percentage: Stabler .798, Rodgers .662 Playoff appearances:...

Seems like they could coordinate the timing a bit better and make it into a heck of an event for their most loyal fans
