should be gone 1) Capers Maybe not: Jennings, I just do not think he will get the money he wants, he maybe back with the Pack just like Jone had to do a couple of years ago. Finley will be back for the last year of his contract. Woodson maybe gone.

I would like to know how the rookie WRs are doing. Cobb gets his usual kudos, Boykin was injured, and Jone caught a long pass are the only WR comments I hear/read about. Is there any news on the rookies?

In November McGinn wrote how Walden was due for a raise/extension. My guess is he is back in GB next season as a back-up to Perry. I've been a Hawk supporter, but he never got better, so Hawk, redo or buh-bye. Since he took a pay-cut once already I'd guess he'll say cut me Mick. Jones, after making the switch inside, is good depth - as Boris noted. Hell, he was their 3rd option at ILB when Bishop and then Smith went down. Bishop and Jone is better than Bishop and Hawk, IMO.

It's important to note, as you and Boris both have, that Jones is a third-stringer. But he's a serious liability when he has to actually play. I'd prefer them draft a guy with upside and develop him, rather than hold on to a guy who's not going to get any better. I think Jones and Hawk are probably equally worthless. Hawk can't shed a block for his life, and Jones seems to completely lack awareness.

I finally got a chance to listen to the interview. And even though I knew most of the story, the way this was told and the few pieces I did not know made the listen worth while. Like AR was the last player with a first round grade on TTs board back in 2005 for example. I haven't heard before. So thanks for posting.

Great listen. Pat Kirwan was the only guy that predicted GB would pick Aaron at 24 in 2005. Ron Turner told Aaron "we've got 3 QBs better than you but thanks for coming". No wonder he loves beating the Bears. Aaron played HS football on a field with a sign that read "Once a Viking. Always a Viking". 15 of the 23 players drafted before Aaron Rodgers in 2005 were out of football or let go by the team that drafted them when Aaron beat Pittsburgh for The Lombardi in 2010. Great post CT

With all the draft stuff going on, it was hard to try to elucidate just how impressed I was with the interviews and the work that Clemens did to piece this all together. I know that BM doesn't have alot of fans for some here based of his past work, but I do enjoy his show and stream it regularly as I work. He has some great guests. Glad some of you are picking up on the tidbits too.

Mayock made the Rodgers pick the night before the draft. I don't think he's hit on another Packers No. 1 pick since.

I was watching last years hail Marys on youtube the other night and I stumbled on this clip. Pretty good stuff but my favorite part starts at 1:38 where Sitton talks about a touchdown against the Bears that didn't count because of a hold. I'm sure most of you remember it cause it was an incredible (non) play. The best part of the video is listening to the Bear's players on the sidelines talking about how good Aaron is. The ultimate compliment is when your rivals talk about you in awe while...

First action. 1st half 4 for 12, 3 ypc w/ the TD 2nd half 9 for 37, 4.1 ypc - when they had the lead and were running more clock. Liked what I saw from him.

H5 you’d probably be able to comment on this as well with you having the all22 access but both Jones and Williams missed a few cut backs and could have had massive yards. Tough thing for rookies in their first major game action. Again just like the defense I like were these guys could take the team later in the year.

Re: ROUND 5 PICK 182 - RB AARON JONES (UTEP)

Aaron Jones is a very natural fit for GB offense. He's a pure shotgun RB. It's not a total surprise he looks as good as he does. I think Williams is a better pure RB. But Jones is well ahead of the curve because he's doing exactly what he did in college. Well, maybe running behind 5 guards is new. It's going to be fun watching these kids develop.

Jones may be the only runner on the roster that has the ability to prevent the negative play when blocking falls apart. It's the same talent that allows him to find the void on 3rd and short. He's gotta nose for gaps.

Simply a more decisive back. Something that, more often, Montgomery is not. Quick burst, hits the hole, moves forward. He deserves more carries.

I don't recall any missed cut-backs. Jones left no yards on the field from what I recall. No negative runs and one for 0, when he slipped on the cut to go up field on the edge.

Whitehair is highly thought of by scouts and coaches....Kenny Clark abused him on Thursday. Fun to watch. Clark showed great promise last year as a rookie, he's worked his butt off and has taken a jump to another level this year. Draft and develop with a player who wants to be his best.

I'll say it cuz I believe my eyes - Aaron Jones is the best RB on the team. I thought he was the best rookie in TC and can only guess that his pass pro is what kept him back. he's quicker and shiftier than the others, it jumps right out at ya.

1st half: 7 for 33, 4.7 avg, and the TD 2nd half: 12 for 92, 7.7 avg, and some big runs The confidence McCarthy and Rodgers had/have in him should make Packers fan excited for the future of the running game.
