Re: Purdon't @ Bucky it's Homecoming
Heh. I am a bit behind. Sync'd the TV with the Badger radio broadcast. I can't stand the B1G announcers. Tauscher is one of the broadcasters and I love listening to him. Radio link if anyone is interested .

I think I invented a time machine in my sleep. Badger Basketball looks terrible Friday night. Packers look like this today. It has to be 1985.

Re: Badgers #3 in SI Preseason rankings
I really do think #18 is about right for this team I just couldn't totally buy in to the top 5 ranking. Mostly because I knew deep down this would happen losing a game they shouldn't. I do still believe deep down that UW is still going to make things interesting this year. I think with the pressure off they can now get back to Badger football. But that will all go down the tubes if they can't beat Iowa.

Re: Here we go: Pluses/Minuses
Look, I not a Badger fan so there is no bias going on with my next comment. Abby is a player. He runs very good routes, is quick, and has good hands. That kid needs to play and get several touches a game. If he is used correctly, I think he could be in the mold of Wes Welker, Danny Amendola, or Julian Edelman.

Re: Bucky at Sparty
This Badger defense will keep them in the game and turnovers will determine the winner. Badgers just have that feel to them this year...

Some of the passes are in some scary tight spaces but he's been more accurate than I can recall most Badger QBs being.

Re: Bucky at Sparty
I can't remember a Badger QB who threw a better ball. I've been trying, but this kid is amazing!

Re: Bucky at Sparty
The Badger offense has entered the red zone seven times with Hornibrook under center. They are 7 for 7, all touchdowns.

Re: McCarthy's gotten too comfortable.
You forgot to put any of the blame on the WRs. Does Janis! know how to run a route tree? And you can blame the fans for thinking putting in an ex-Badger will solve all of the team's problems.

Three Ohio St. flags at houses on my street. One Badger flag. Only mine will be flying tomorrow after the win.. Bitches.

Re: Bucky vs. O$U
Holding on the center on the last drive of regulation was a killer. It was really looking good. Overall Badgers were looking gassed after the first half. They played lights out and couldn't keep it up. Suckeyes beat them fair and square, but Bucky could have won that one. That holding penalty is going to haunt me. I really thought it was going to end on a Badger FG in regulation. Ugh.

Re: Bucky vs. O$U
I felt the Badger OLine was almost nonexistent on several plays. The right side of the line was very porous. I think the Badgers missing tackles in the OSU backfiield was huge. A big play was when Fumigalli got called for holding which nullified Clement's TD. Game changers!

Re: LSU @ WI @ Lambeau Field
I still see this Badger team as flawed in a way that does not equate to top 10. And as I said in the pre season, the OL will tell the tale of this season- if that group stays on the field and plays like they did Saturday, it won't be Leonard Fournett in New York in December. Clement will be close to 2000 yards. But I just lack faith in those receivers. They suck. They really do. And while I think Houston is better than Stave, I don't think it'll matter. An it'll cost them 2-3 games.

Was that Shaw's first carry as a Badger?

Hell yeah, future looks good and a great way to start the weekend. When it gets down to it, the D gave up 3 points. This was the best I have ever seen a Badger defense perform against a spread offense. Super happy and the high hopes continue! F'em BUCKY!!

Re: It's Oh-My-Lanta Week
They came here after I moved up here. (I did feel a bit bad for them after Norm Green moved the team away similar to the Colts getting kidnapped to Indy) I didn't get into pro hockey until after I moved here and it's been a lot of fun! It was a roommate and he was into the Red Wings. Good times watching them back in the early 90s (as you noted earlier). Besides, who the hell else would I root for, the Blackhawks?? And technically, it's St. Paul. Not the douchebags from Minny. Also they have...

Is hasn't been often over the last 25 years you see Badger OG-C-OG get beat by bull rushes. That's happened more than usual this year.

No reason to believe the Badger defense will hold up and this one could get ugly.

Re: Updated Packer cuts
Hopefully, Biegel uses the 1.1 million he got wisely and uses his degree back on the cranberry bog in Wisconsin Rapids. Great Badger. High motor, average athlete type guy whose foot injuries probably cost him hanging around as a special teamer for a couple of more years.

T T just picked the wrong Badger linebacker. TJ Watt’s stats: 8 tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 4 sacks and 1 blocked field goal Joe Schobert’s stats: 2 tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery #WisconsinMade #PITvsCLE

Re: I-Owe-Way vs Bucky game thread
This Badger team is a 8-4 type team. Nothing to be ashamed of, they were just vastly overrated at the beginning of this season.

Terrell Fletcher, underrated NFL Badger. And how about Jim Leonhard as another underrated NFL Badger? I remember when some clown on here commented that the only reason he was thought highly of was because he was an ex-Badger.

You asked 2 different questions LBS. 1. Who is the best Wisconsin Badger to ever play in the NFL? 2. Who's the best NFL football player to come out of the University of Wisconsin? 1. Ron Dayne 2. Bucky Dent.

Good addition, Green and Gold. I completely forgot Krumrie was a Badger. I try to block him and his broken leg out of my mind. Still one of the sickest injuries I have ever seen, and it was in the Super Bowl.

Bucky Dent was born Bucky Badger, but his mother re-married when he was young. He changed his name to his step-father's. Or so the legend goes.

Re: Another Favre (Russell Wilson) Starting in the NFL.
I was pulling for both as I’m sure most Pack/Badger fans were, but feel for Flynn. But in all that I’ve seen and read, Wilson far outplayed him so far. His YPA was nearly 3x that of Flynn, who seemed content to dink and dunk. This being Carroll and Seattle, I’m sure the starter will change at least two more times over the season, but tough to argue against Wilson at this point. Hell if he was an inch taller, he’s a first round pick and no one’s even questioning this move. I just love that...
