Re: It's Bear Week!!!
It's bears week. I don't care if you've read my diatribe before. It's time to remember that regardless of what the morons to the North do, or whether they win some games, or there's a meth addled Favre family member running around in Minneapolis, as a Packer fan, I must remind you that the bears that were, are, and always will be our main rivals. Period. Full Stop. Next Paragraph. There is no discussion. There is no debate. There is no 2nd place. The bears are THE rivals. The bears should...

Updated Series data in spreadsheet. Packers lead all time series 96-94-6. Packers have NEVER led the the all time series by more than 2 games, which they have done 3 times. Today, 10/16/32, and 11/1/31 Chicago held the largest lead in the series of 24 games twice on 9/25/60 and following a 30-10 win on 10/25/92. Since that 10/25/92 game, Green Bay has gone 39-13 vs Chicago. Longest winning streak for Chicago in the series is 8 when they swept the season series for 4 straight years...

Re: It's Bear Week!!!
Most hated franchise topic alway comes up Bears or Vikings Week. For me it’s far and away the Vikings. However, I think that’s due to living in MN for 11 years, having obnoxious Douchebag MN in-laws, and their fan base in general. I’m also only 45, so MN has been more relevant in my eyes. I remember the 85 Bears squad and the bad blood between Ditka and Forrest Gregg, but I never can say that I’ve actually hated them the way I do the Vikings. Most likely just a generational thing.

Re: It's Bear Week!!!
I do think in some ways it is a generational thing to some extent. I stongly dislike the Bears and their FIB fans but my true hatred is reserved for the Spermheads. I have a lot of relatives in MN and as a kid I always had to hear how great the Spermheads were and how bad the Packers were. Every freaking holiday I heard about it.

There defense is strong across the board, but Daniels and Clark as almost as good as any interior DL duo in the league. Clark is an elite DL who is still only 23 years old. He's the one elite draft pick from the disasters that were the 2015 and 2016 TT draft (Martinez and Lowry and even Montgomery are decent picks - the other 11 are just awful).

Re: It’s Vikings Week
Yeah, forgot about Mike Daniels. He's better than Sheldon Richardson, although Richardson was an absolute monster yesterday.

I'm not sure if this had anything to do with his monster game, but SF was down to their 3rd string OG.

Re: Aaron Rodgers
Like the 3rd down toss to Jennings in the Superb Owl, he puts it where only his guy can catch it. He sees things others don't. And, most importantly, he trusts what he sees and he trusts his ability. Contrast that to the throw Trubirsky didn't attempt.

I'm old. I went to bed before the pick. Because I'm old I woke up at 11 pm to pee. My iPad was by my bed, but I was afraid to look at it knowing this pick might be Love. I'm glad I waited till this morning because it would have dramatically impacted my sleep. What an absolutely terrible pick...Even if he is outstanding, Rodgers plays for 4 more years. The only positive about trading a fourth rounder to move up , is Gutekunst has been terrible with late round picks. Gutekunst has made some...

Love was a stud in 2018 from what I understand... If I'm reading correctly, he lost 9 of 11 starters and most of his coaching staff last season. WTF did anybody think would happen?

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
That video MJ provided gives you plenty of insight as to why the argument is there. 2018 they asked him to be a short passer/scrambler if necessary. 2019 they went full air raid requiring him to stay in the pocket and run a consistent set of plays. The problem I have isn't that he may have struggled in a new offense scheme but that it was a pro scheme and the commentary from multiple sources stressed how bad, like football 101, some of his decisions were. He can make all the throws, run and...

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
I assume we can say that Love made mostly great decisions in '18. "In 2018, Love threw for 3,567 yards and 32 touchdowns against just six interceptions as Utah State went 11-2." And as it's been stated, his play in '19 had to be affected by new coaching, a terrible OL, & losing a TE & RB to the NFL. In '19, Love WAS the team & he tried to do to much himself.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_7TexNP4eA 1978 week 4 @SD Chargers. You heard Howard right, SD had 11 turnovers in the game! Willie Buchanan, my all time favorite player had 4 int in the game and one TD. GB had 9 first downs, 7 completions on the day, gave up 10 sacks, had 9 net passing yards, 11 penalties for 105 yds and won in a blow out!

Imagine being Jordan Love in 2018. ~3600 yds passing, 64% comp rate, 32 TD, 6 INT, 8.6 YPA....gonna be one of the top QBs in the nation next year...... Then your Head Coach leaves, 9 of 11 starters are gone, and you not only have to learn a new system but the new HC is none other than Gary Andersen. QB killing Gary Andersen !! Gary Andersen last 4 years after leaving YooDub : 2015 2-10 (.167) 2016 4-8 (.333) 2017 1-5 (.167) 2019 7-6 (.538) How does this guy keep getting hired ?? Gotta be...

Re: LeBron James: “That one right there made you the greatest of all time”
You can access Bill Simmons' all time rankings here back in 2010. https://www.basketball-referen...simmons_pyramid.html He's often full of himself, but at least Simmons makes an effort to provide his rationale. He had Lebron at #20 back then - pre-titles. I think he has Bill Russell too high (#2), but I otherwise mostly agree with him. The question is where to put the guys after this decade - Lebron, Durant, Curry. I'd drop Russell to about #5 or #6 on the list. I'd put Lebron after Kobe at...

Todd Gurley has to be hurt. If not, then McVay is an idiot and I don't think that's true. If he was healthy, he should have had 35 touches last night. The reason the Rams offense worked so well is that teams schemed to stop Todd Gurley. Against the Packers he had 31 touches. Last night in a close 3 yards and a cloud of dust type game he had 11. It wasn't just the rushing attempts, he was virtually absent from the passing game all during the playoffs. He had 4 catches for 5 yards during the 3...

16-2 in games that Giannis plays. One of the losses was when Paul George went off and it was still a one possession game with under a minute at OKC (Giannis 27-18-4 in a poor game for him). The other loss was to Toronto (Giannis went for 43-18-4).

Re: MNF - Dec 2 - Ol' One Eye versus The Hyper Gum Chomper
I always find the stats that focus on a singular player in a team game interesting. Looking it up, he’s completed 65%, 11 TDs, 5 INTs on Monday nights. His opponents combined W/L record in those years is 76-48, so he’s went up against some pretty good teams. I think #12 is 7-8 on Monday nights. 0-8 vs 0-US Bank Something’s got to give!

You are in the minority pulling up stats 99% of other Vikings fans don't give a damn about. Sipping coffee while relishing in Queens Sports radio this week more then proved that, again. Is it always fair to Cousins that his reputation is that he can't win big games? No. Sometimes, like on MNF, it's his defense that are key reasons he lost. But the mantra, the beating drum of criticism coming from the fan base and in the media don't give a shit about that. It's like an oft injured player and...

Re: Bucky vs. O$U for the Big Title
I still think OSU pulls this out, but if Wisconsin would win this convincingly it would be Clemson, LSU, and Oklahoma locks for the playoffs and the committee would have to chose between 12-1 OSU and 11-2 Wisconsin. Georgia, Utah, and Baylor all lost. Basically, even if the Badgers would duplicate the first half and win 42-14 OSU still goes? 1 Ohio State 12-0 - 2 LSU 12-0 - 3 Clemson 12-0 - 4 Georgia 11-1 - 5 Utah 11-1 1 6 Oklahoma 11-1 1 7 Baylor 11-1 2 8 Wisconsin 10-2 4 9 Florida 10-2 2

Series Records: Packers lead all time series 98-95-6. The current 3 game edge is tied for the largest advantage Green Bay has ever had - also had after the opener in 2018. The Bears largest advantage in the series is 24 games which they've had only twice as well. After loss in Lombardi's 3rd game vs Bears they led 50-26-6, and after a loss in Favre's first game vs Bears they led 81-57-6 Since that game Green Bay is 41-14 All Games in Green Bay: Green Bay 48-42-4 All Games in Chicago: Chicago...

Re: IT's BEARS WEEK!
I always think the same thing every time I look at that. I think a lot of that has to do with my (and I'd guess many of us) age. Born in 1970, I was getting to be far more into sports right then. And 1983-1992 there was an 18 game stretch where Chicago went 15-3. So just as I was getting more mature and more into fandom, the Ditka era Bears were just beating us all the time, so that was pretty seared into my brain. But, Green Bay won 4 of 5 to start the 1980's and then swept the 89 series,...

5 of those 7 were before 1985 (4 before 1984) and the other 2 were in the Magik season of 1989. Bears won 8 straight (10 out of 11) between there and probably what we all remember from the 80's.

Thought I read that on the bores recent 3 game winning streak their opponent win total was a combined 11 wins, about half of which were the cowturds. Not a ringing endorsement of their "win streak". But who's to say, but I really like our chances at home against them. Pedal to the metal, gas all the way.

Just can't see them losing all 3. Losing 2 out of 3 is possible as Bears are getting some players back & Vikings are always tough at home. Can't see them losing to the Lions but stranger things have happened. 11-5 is nearly 99% assured. It all starts with beating the Bears. Beat. The. Bears. Into. Submission.
