Re: I am starting to get excited about our top 10 draft pick next spring

CUPackFan ·
This might bring the ire of a few posters but I think TT has a big decision to make on Cobb too. He has a $12.75m cap hit next year and his performance this year and last don't support it. If they cut him after June 1, he'd be a ~$3m cap hit in 2017 and 2018. Or maybe TT brings up a paycut from his $8.6m base salary (as I don't see Cobb's value across the league being as high as it was in 2014). Of course, TT only does that if he wants to use that cap money elsewhere. Since TT rarely goes to...

I'd be OK with Christian McCaffrey in Round 2 or as a mid to late Round 1 (if he lasts that long).

I noticed the Vikings lost. And suck. Spielman needs to take an OL in round 1 to protect Sam. Oh wait.... he doesn't have a round 1 pick. He traded it away for the guy he can't keep upright. It writes itself with Minny.

It should have been a two point attempt from the 12. The two point attempt never happens if Dick Prescott doesn't slide before the first down and then fumble the snap on 3rd and 1. Dick Presotts brain fart doesn't matter if Thielen catches a punt. Normally Thursday night games suck because of the short week. Both teams had a week to prepare. This was pretty much a **** show from the start. And I found the play and the outcome positively perfect.

At least they went for 2, unlike McCarthy. (Yes, I know they were down 2 and not 1, which makes all the difference.)

The ONLY redeeming quality of this game is the opportunity to watch Andy Reid fill his pants full of **** like he's known to do in big games. Hes off to a flying start. Horrible challenge and a terrible 4th and 1 call. Still. Thursday night football needs to end.

This is a review in terrible coaching. Del Rio style. Oakland is down 8 with 2:40 left in the 4th facing 2nd and 10 on the KC 23 with two time outs remaining. Oakland runs for 9 yards setting up 3rd and 1 with 2:28 left and the clock running. There are only two options in play here. You run the ball to pick up the 1st down before the two minute warning or you let the clock run down to the two minute warning and then run the ball to pick up the first down. Again. Those are the options. Those...

Few takeaways. 1) If this season teaches us anything, it is that Rodgers plays better hurt. McStupidface needs to assign Janis! to sweep the leg during warmups. B) Wilson just threw another pick iii) Dom Capers sucks. Good thing players made plays.

Bingo, positives to the infinity. I was scared to death to watch the 2nd half with the Pack holding an 18 point lead. Seems like the Hawks get all the breaks in their stadium, and today all the bounces went the Packers way. Nice to see those SOBs be miserable at least for 1 day. That 18 point lead was more than safe today. Thank you Richard Rodgers for properly fielding an onside kick.

Christine Michael could be on a 6 game try-out. He was picked 1 spot behind Lacy and has similar production (ypc wise) with less wear and tear. Playing behind Lynch initially he saw little opportunity. Hell, bring them both back. Neither should command significant FA $$, unless Michael goes nuts over the next 6 games. I like your analogy there. Winning the division at 7-9 or 8-8 might be a temporary "feel good" story, but it might actually be a detriment in terms of re-building this team to reach World Championship caliber. In 2014 when the Pack was borderline World Championship caliber, the strength of the team was Jordy Nelson, Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers, and Eddie Lacy. Since that time Nelson has hit age 30 and had a significant injury. Cobb also received a big contract,...

Maybe it's just me but I don't see the same Woodson and Jabril Peppers comparisons. Peppers is a better athlete, but Woodson had off the charts instincts and an uncanny ability to make a play at the most important time- in college or the pros. Peppers is a good player I just don't know that he's trancedent like C Wood. Plus, what position does he play in the pros? Safety? LB? Corner? Overall a deep and quality draft for DBs and with Shields status in the air that's where I think TT will go...

It would be really nice if Michael could actually get more then 1 carry. Guys in football shape, has played plenty this season for the Hags and did well. Like Monty, the Packers need to figure out a way to get him involved. Starks has been a step slow since the start of TC. He simply isn't the back he once was.

I get what he is saying. I think he just used the wrong words. The truth is, it's easy to knock someone on their ass when they don't see it coming. Players love to flaunt it afterwards, but it doesn't mean you beat the guy in a straight up 1-on-1. It means you got him not looking and off-balance, and that's all it means.
