C+ by NFL standards and Packers goals.

If you're only going to draft and develop, you need to draft some players who will develop into pro bowlers. These players are good, but there aren't any stars (Lacy is good, but he's not among the best at that position).

We're not Detroit, we expect to get to the Super Bowl every year, so we're going to have to do better than that.

Argument for Ted's drafting success. He's drafted 10 players that made a pro bowl. The majority of them multiple times

Argument against judging a GM by the pro bowlers he's drafted. AJ Hawk played in a pro bowl.

so every draft should have at least one pro bowler?

I think some people struggled at math.

If you want a grade of "exceptional" then, call me old fashioned, the draft should be exceptional rather than a glorified participation trophy.

Jones: C- He hasn't been terrible but he has been disappointing so far. However he has had flashes of being a very good player.

Lacy: C+ Not a fan and haven't been a fan. He had the luxury of running behind a very good line his first two years. Any NFL caliber RB could have done as well IMO most would have done better. 2015 is more of what I expect to see. Doesn't seem to like football that much.

Bahktiari: B+ He has been a good LT and is getting better and better. He has punked some of the best pass rushers in the league. A steal.

Tretter: C He might be a really good C. He might be a decent backup tackle. He isn't a G. Hard to really know but when he has been healthy and played he's done a good job.

Franklin: Inc. He had one good game in his short career otherwise he didn't play.

Hyde: B Terrific value pick. He is basically the starting nickle back, and because the Packers play nickle 65% of the time that makes him a starter. Good near the line, good in the slot and good on STs.

Boyd: C- So far. I think he will become a good DL. He hustles, holds the point and tackles. Got to stay healthy.

Palmer: C. Value pick for STs. Cannot play on defense.

Johnson: Inc. Hurt, then gone.

Dorsey: F

Barrington: C- The would be starter at ILB. A good value pick for the position but he has too many limitations to be more than a B- type player.

Agree with a lot of the rest of your post, but not this. Eddie steamrolled a boatload of tacklers, consistently, in his first two years. To my eyes was the league's most punishing runner after Marshawn Lynch.

I also think "Franklin INC & Johnson INC" are INCorrect grades

Franklin's career is over. His grade should be N/A since he had a neck injury.

Johnson is still a WR in this  league on the Vikings. He should have some sort of grade.

Jones: D. The expectation for 1st rounders is high, and he just hasn't delivered. Part of it is due to injury, part of it is figuring out where he belongs (inside or outside). He's showed flashes.

Lacy: A. There's no question in my mind that Lacy is a difference maker and our run game improved immediately once he came on board. He made the effort the prior season to improve his hands/catching ability and did just that. Even with this disaster of a year and being out of shape, he still made a difference (at Vikings, particularly). I hope he gets it together next year.

Bak: B.  He can still improve his anchor and strength, and can cut down on penalties.  Is he really a LT?  Don't know, but he's been effective and is an above average one.  Still think he can improve.

Tretter: A.  Tretter has enough tape to show he's an above-average starting caliber C.  What else can you ask for a pick at this round?

Franklin: Inc.

Hyde: C.  This one is kind of hard, because Hyde can do a lot of things, but doesn't really excel at anything particular.  He's a target for opposing offenses because of his speed.  His PR ability is probably the most notable (although his decision making was very odd this year).  Having a utility guy drafted this low as a contributor gets is an average grade in my book.

Boyd: D.  Being out this year made it hard to grade, but he's a below average backup DL.  Tries hard, but seems more like CJ Wilson redux.

Palmer: D.  Below average.  Started out at OLB, then moved inside.  Really doesn't have a home in a 3-4.

Johnson: C.  Still in the league and solid 4th WR.  Not bad for the 7th round.

Dorsey: D.  Can't fail a 7th round pick.  These picks are crapshoots.  A contributor in this round is all you can ask for.

Barrington: C.  Barrington is a solid contributor.  He's only a 3rd ILB though.

Letter grades, ten-point scale, four stars, types of cheese.

Can we stick to one friggin' grade scale please! This is getting too confusing to follow!

Just wait until we start curving it.
