TT needs to take a big part of the blame.  When you have the two worst inside linebackers in football and you draft no one that's on you Teddy.

I see several chicken littles posting.  Again.

"Oh to be right like you, a game didn't work out, my gawd, again agaiN agaIN, agAIN!"

Slather your hindsight with ineptitude of foresight.

Yup, you are right, season done.  Might as well stop watching and caring.

DOOM DESPAIR AND sandwiches.

I'm in the mood for roast beast, swiss, spicy deli mustard, and onion, on a nice caraway rye.

What kind of beast?

The worst part about, and I place the blame directly on TT, is that he watched 50 and 59 toil around GB for a few years and STILL signed them both to new contracts with fat salaries.

I defended Capers a long time. No more. They have a stupid defense, and it starts with the coach.

How effin smart can u be with hair like that? seriously

C'mon now, it isn't as if TT has had ten drafts to find a quality ILB or two.

Ok..  This game was a big example of why Ted Thompson should have been fired and not extended.  This is a 4-12 team if not for AR-12.

Basically, with weak we are on both lines, we will be lucky to hit 8-8.  He is well past his prime and should have been gone last offseason.

This team is terrible in the front 7 on D as well as on the offensive line.  There is no excuse for it being this bad.

It's their new look defense that's built on SPEED! Wow look at all those guys standing up and nobody putting their hand on the ground they are gonna fool that Seattle offense!

My worst fear with this D was realized tonight..emphatically. Seattle destroyed them up the middle with their physical run game all night long. They had nothing to counter, no answers...nothing

It's only 1 game but this is the team/similar teams they'll be having to face come playoff time to get tot he SB and they got dominated. Absolutely dominated. Defense literally showing zero improvement from what we saw last year. Big time gutcheck for me as a fan to temper my expectations with this club. This offense will be lethal(though it wasn't tonight, thanks to Seattle's suffocating defense) but once again it's looking like this defense will hold them back from truly being a championship caliber team

First game.... road game vs. the defending Superbowl championsand the leg humpers are calling season over.

Seattle D flies around the field and actually tackle.

One constant - miserable MLB play for us.   The GM that played this position appears to know the least about how to stock that position.

$herrod is who I knew he was.

I've been calling Dom Capers out for at least the last three years. Yet our defense keeps getting embarrassed. It doesn't really matter who we're playing, just takes a good football team. 200 yards rushing or 400 yards passing by Colin Kaepernick. Seattle tonight, or Adrian Peterson. The one constant is our defense looks slow, and inept. Blown coverages left and right, one missed tackle after another. We have arguably the best quarterback in the NFL, and we are wasting his prime years by hanging an albatross of a defense around his neck.

I'd only blame TT for not doing more once Raji went down.  I get the "don't panic" mantra, but relying on Guion, a mediocre Vikings castoff, is quite a leap of faith.

Really though, the coaches may not be seeing the forest for the trees.  They may like Hawk and Jones because they are assignment-sure, but at some point, you have to trust the young guys.  Barrington is an intriguing player.  Hell, Bradford may even be a very good ILB, but you'd never know that because the coaches insisted trying him outside nearly the entire preseason even though he was engulfed by huge RT's, and couldn't disengage with his short arms.

Shut the **** up.  Seriously.

TT has turned cornerback and OLB into positions of strength, but let's be clear: the inside linebackers and the lack of depth on the o-line is on Thompson. This didn't sneak up on anyone -- this has been the same story on repeat for 3 straight off-seasons and nothing has been done.

The rest of the D is on Capers. The guy just can't out-scheme anyone. They defend read option, jet sweeps, play fakes, etc. like an overmatched college defense.

Part of the problem is we went into the season relying on Bulaga to be "the guy", and we don't have a lot behind him if he gets hurt. Well, he's hurt, and the guy behind him, Sherrod, who himself suffered a terrible broken leg, is that the guy you want starting for 16 games?

Signing Peppers might help the pass rush, but I'd have rather we spent money actually improving the offensive line, because once again, Rodgers is running his butt off trying just to get his passes off.

If Bulaga is hurt, and it didn't look good, then I am concerned about the whole line again. We already have a rookie at center, who I thought did well under the circumstances. But I don't see Sherrod staying healthy for 16 games, let alone playing effectively.
