Why's that? It's not like the Packers ever prioritize the Gold package. Just the opposite it often seems like. Green package almost always gets the marquee match ups. Plus, Seattle won't be the 2nd home game if they are opening at Chicago and Thanksgiving is a little late for the 5th home game. That usually falls in the early to mid November range. Usually.

Schedule is out

Hasn't the Gold Package been the 2nd and 5th homes games since playing all in GB? And, doesn't the NFL set the schedule and not the teams?

Are you asking the Packers to cherry-pick the home games so the Gold Package gets at least 1 decent match-up?

The Bears will need to be ready when the 2015 season begins. Four of Chicago's first six games are against 2014 playoff teams, including the Packers and Seahawks within the first three weeks. Lest you think the Bears will get a breather midway through the season, feast your eyes on a November slate that includes trips to San Diego and Green Bay as well as a visit from the Denver Broncos

Daunting early stretch

The Rule of Threes applies to the Lions' schedule in 2015. Detroit faces three tough opponents in the Broncos, Seahawks and Cardinals in Weeks 3 through 5. After a trip to Green Bay in Week 10, Detroit gets a welcomed three-game home stand, which includes the Eagles on Thanksgiving Day and the Packers on the following Thursday. The Lions end the season by playing three of their final four games on the road -- games that could be critical if the Motor City Kitties want a return to the postseason

Teams have a certain amount of say regarding their schedule. After Bears fans made too good of a showing at County Stadium they never played in Milwaukee again per Green Bay's request. Too close to Chicago (sound familiar Brewer's fans?) I never saw the Bears play until I started going to Lambeau. Even then it took quite a few years before the old Milwaukee folks got a Bears game. That's not just a coincidence of scheduling by the league office.

Only gripe is I wish they got Seattle in Lambeau in December rather than bailing them out by having them travel there in September. They get the Cowboys in Lambeau in December at least

All in all a pretty nice schedule. First 6 weeks they play 1 playoff team from last year and it's at home

They get a bye week before having to go to Denver and then get extra rest before facing Dallas

Tough opening slate

The Vikings will have an uphill battle to begin the season. The first month consists of a Monday night game in San Francisco before home games against the Lions and Chargers and a road contest in Denver. Throw in a Week 5 bye and Minnesota is looking at a very long stretch to finish the year. A late road trip to Arizona and a season-ending visit to Green Bay might not do much to spur optimism near the close of the campaign.

Queens schedule ain't easy either. That team may be lucky to win 3 games.
