Unpopular opinion: keep Eberflus as a DC, Bears HC = continuous Twitter poll with a 5 second delay and simple options like: Challenge, TimeOut, Accept/Not Accept Penalty. As long as we can keep other NFC North fans out of the polls, it couldn't be any worse than Eberflus making "the right decisions"

What should they have done? They were really kinda effed. So it's 3rd and a mile, and you're out of range. You have to get closer, and get your field goal unit out there. A sideline throw? Detroit would jump that.
I think run 25 seconds off the clock then chuck a ball 5 yards short of the EZ gave them the best chance to win.

Disagree. From where they were (41 yard line) with 0:32 seconds left and ONE timeout. Even if they gain nothing more, it's a 58-59 yard FG, in a dome. Of course Bears need to block for the FG so there's that too.
Clearly, the HC should've called timeout immediately with a rookie QB. With 0:32 seconds left, you still have the entire field to work with and get the FG unit out there. Even if the play takes 0:12 seconds (it should only take :07) that still leaves you 0:20 seconds to lineup & kick it, if you didn't get the first down or get OOB. I've seen teams run the FG unit out there with less than 0:15 seconds and still kick it in time. YOU PRACTICE THIS SHIT!! Not to mention, Lions would've DEFINITELY called a timeout to "ice" the kicker giving the Bears even more time.
For comparison....The Packers before end of the half vs. Miami moved from their OWN 39 yd line with all 3 timeouts and into FG range with only 0:22 seconds on the clock....Why?? BECAUSE THEY PRACTICE THAT SHIT!! Something Bears definitely didn't practice and that's 100% on Everlose.
How you like my clock management? Think I could've done better than the Bears ex HC? It's ok, I'm sure Everlose will get to use that timeout he saved at his next gig. 🤭
To be fair, the coach couldn't stomach losing three weeks in a row on a bad special team's play. Looked like the hallmark signs of PTSD as he was standing there watching the seconds tick away.
