Yup, their players on offense mde a lot of big plays, our defense missed a few chances to make the big play.

Turn one or two of those around and it is a different game.

And the Packers still won.

Disagree...   San Diego missed some easy chances at scores.  The over throw when Gates was all alone in the EndZone.   The 2nd down at the end of the game where Rivers could have walked it in or thrown it to a wide open Woodhead.

Packers players injured

Offense

Jordy

Quarless

Adams

Montgomery

O line banged up except for Sitton

Lacy gimpy

Defense

Burnett

Raji

Perry

Barrington

Richardson

That is a ton of starters and weapons that are missing and banged up, the packers are like 1/2 Rookies and backups, it's like the 2nd half of a preseason game.

and we're still 6-0.

Yes, but we dropped 2 INTs also, those plays typically tend to even out

Rodgers had 255 yards in 29 attempts.  Rivers had 505 in 65 attempts

Many in the press are raving about Rivers, but the fact is they passed twice as much. The final play could have been a TD if he threw it quicker and a bit more outside.   The Rodgers to Jones pass worked.  Rivers did not.

Bottom line is the D stood tall.  There was a wall on 3rd down.   I'd pass twice as much too faced with that.

Rivers did do a good job at picking up the blitz.   There is where he got the big yards.

Chargers were in the redzone 6 times...only got 2 TD's.

Yeah, ARod playing like there's no trust in Janis OR Abredderis.  And I'm sure it's frustrating for him.  But it makes us very simplistic.  Cobb is nicked, James Jones hasn't been thrown to much, Dick Rodgers has had too many drops.  Starks has had good runs.  Why not use him on a screen pass or a pass in the flats or slant over the middle?

And what the heck is wrong with Lacy?   No help there.  Man, I know we had tons of guys go down in 2010 and still won the SB, but this team is bleeding badly.

If we don't get better play from the OL and don't get some healthy WR's (Adams, a healthy Cobb, Monty), I will be a nervous Nelly.   Also, I convinced Lacy isn't 100%, and we'll need him too!  And Aaron better put in some extra work with Jamis and Abby just in case we need them yet this season!

I will say that when I loved it when Janis made one of his catches that one of the first people there to give him some love was Aaron!

Did anyone else drink the kool-aid in all the game previews about how the key matchup was San Diego's beaten-up, makeshift OL vs. our DL?   Sure looked the opposite to me!  Our OL was porous and Aaron stood in the pocket much too long (I assume because his WR's weren't open).  Frustrated, but glad for the bye and trying to remember that we're 6-0!  And if we can parlay that into HFA in the playoffs, I will stop whining!  :-)
