Predictions for reports:

Day 1: Saw Dom's stupid face. He can't even coordinate his toupee on correctly.

Day 2: Dom's face still stupid. Defense just doing walkthrough and still sucks.

Day 3: Players lined up in the wrong direction because Dom's directions are too complex.

Day 4: Dom's stupid face is taunting me, he can't get his mediocrity under control.

Day 5: Last day I have to see Dom's stupid face. Clay's steps look slow and Randall's body language is off.

None of that matters. All I care about is whether Adams is gaining on Janis in the BFI category.

Is McCarthy wearing Jorts this year?

If we are talking Jenny McCarthy that's fine with wearing jorts.  Mike McCarthy?  *reaches for bleach for eyes to try and erase mental image*

As for camp I am extremely excited as I am every year but this year more than any other?  Why you ask?  because since February we have heard next to nothing about the NFL but we had 5+ months of endless NBA and being bombarded with coverage of LaVar Ball's and his yellow teeth, and whatever drivel ESPN comes up with.

The Packers tight end put on his Instagram story that he was sleeping on the floor of the locker room at St. Norbert College Tuesday night.

Bennett arrived too late to check-in to his dorm room. So, the locker room became his home away from home.

No ghosts?  He is with the wrong franchise.  The ghosts at Lambeau are so thick he'll have to brush them away from his face.

You forgot the country club atmosphere.  I'm guessing there will be some pillow fights tonight.

“We have full confidence,” he said. “The goal here has never changed. It’s been the same since Day One. You have to stack successes and you obviously have to get in the playoffs to get to the Super Bowl. ... In my younger years, I’d come in here and I’d answer those questions and the problem is I actually thought about them. Now, I don’t even think about it because it’s not what I think about. I thought about it (then) because I wanted to give you a good answer. Now, I just am comfortable with not giving you a good answer. That’s just the reality of it. And I’m not trying to be a smart ass. It’s just, I still focus on what we need to do.”

Wow, if I am not mistaken that beats his average in school. Lets see what a pass rush does to that average. Also can he duplicate his ability in directional punting?

And the Florida boy needs to learn how to handle cold weather.

So, yesterday was Day 1 of the season and I woke to my first nightmare.

We were hosting the Bears and down 45-3 in the second quarter (fire Dom!). I don't know who their stupid quarterback was, but he had 8 quadrillion yards (seriously, if Dom is not on the side of the road with a sign already, WTF?!).  Suddenly it was 45-45 with 5 minutes to go in OT, because, you know, Aaron Rodgers, and then I woke up.

It's nice to know the stress and hypertension of the season follows me in my sleep as well.  I need to take it easy for a while, you know, because high blood pressure and what not.

Oh, that's right we're talkin' 'bout practice.  If Rodgers doesn't throw a 60-yarder through a tire on try one the season is over.

Best play of Packers' camp Day 1: The Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams connection that took off last season was on display early. Rodgers delivered a perfect deep ball to Adams, who had beaten cornerback LaDarius Gunter on a go route. Adams barely had to outstretch for the ball that he caught in stride for a 60-yard touchdown. Gunter's biggest weakness is speed, and it showed when he let Adams beat get behind him.

Here are a couple of my observations from Day 1:

- The new punter has a cannon, he was booming high and far. He stood on the 10 and was booming past the other 40 with good air under it. That was with no rush and with a rush. It's different in a game though, we'll see in the preseason. Might have found a gem though.

- Jayrone Elliot is noticeably bulkier in his upper body. Fackrell looked a little bigger, but he's so tall I think it would take a lot for him to look bulky.

- The first team D showed this 1st team/2nd team depth chart:

RCB: Gunter, King

ROLB: Perry, Fackrell

DT: Clark, Daniels, Lowry, Guion

LOLB: Clay, Elliot, Gilbert

ILB: Thomas, Ryan, Martinez, Tripp

Safety: HaHa, Burnet, Brice, Jones

Nickel CB: Randall

LCB: House, Rollins

- I liked what King did in some of the individual drills, he's not leggy and awkward for a tall guy. He caught some nice high balls and seemed aggressive in team drills.

- Reggie Gilbert looked really quick in individual drills. Great balance.

- No surprises on offense depth chart. Evans seems cemented as 1st team RG for now, he didn't rotate at all (which is seemingly something they do if you aren't locked in). 2nd team had Barclay at Center, Patrick at RG, and McCray at LG. Janis, Davis, and Allison worked at 2nd team WR. The RBs seemed to go Monty, Williams, Jones, Mays.

- I liked what Devonta Mays was doing. I assumed he was a bruiser based his size (230), but he split out wide a couple times and showed good routes and soft hands. Not much you're able to get from RBs in non-padded practice, but Monty looks insanely quick and fast. He's rocked up also, looks noticeably bulkier.

- #2 QB seems to be a little bit of a battle. Callahan and Hundley split reps. Callahan had a beautiful deep ball that would have been caught if not for clear defensive interference. He looked sharper today than he did last year.

- If today showed anything it's that the TEs and RBs could be heavily involved this season. I would say the majority of the passes were to those groups. Kendricks caught several and looked very quick for a big man. Marty B looks a head taller than everyone and caught a couple of passes.

- Two new guys that stuck out to me were WR Michael Clark and WR Montay Crockett. Crockett looked sharp on punt return, he's tall (6'), but he looked quick and shifty. Clark is crazy tall (6'6") and lanky and didn't look bad actually. He was quick and schooled some of the camp body CBs with his route running. He looks like a guy who they might want to develop on the PS because his size is crazy.

- Punt returners were Cobb, Davis, McCaffrey, Rollins, and Crockett. Cobb dropped the first punt of practice and the guy next to me had a fit about it.

- The crowds are getting weirder. I sat in front of this terrible family and the parents were seemingly brother and sister. They kept egging on their 5 year old to scream player names at the top of his lungs until they turned around and waved (NO AARON, SCREAM THEIR NAMES). They got Rodgers to peak over and wave, but if they didn't turn (which no others did) then they cussed them for being too good to wave to fans. They were also pumped about going to $1.99 fish at Long John Silvers right after also.

- Another old guy in front said he hoped Hundley would be traded because he "didn't fit the color scheme". He seemed like a tool, he had like a 12" lense on his Nikon and kept cussing because Rodgers wouldn't turn around, apparently he only wanted to photograph Rodgers front?

LUNCH PAIL!

I want the Green Bay Packers to win title 15 this year in the worst possible way imaginable. They have ****ing earned this. They didn't cut corners. Thrown seasons. Sucked for picks. They have done everything by the book for a decade.

If Dom ****s this up I'm going to go off the rails.

I want to see Aaron Rodgers accept his second MVP in Minnesota. The only thing that's going to **** that up is Dom.

This is your legacy Dom. You have the greatest offense in football. You just need to be good. Don't **** it up again. PLEASE!!!!!

Us ghosts had our pre-training camp meeting last night at Lambeau on the field.  High on the agenda was how much help Caper (the friendly ghost coach) would need to succeed.  The only conclusion we came to was that we didn't have enough money to get opposing teams to tank for us.

The only thing I forgot in those thoughts was about Josh Jones. I wasn't impressed with how he moved in individual drills, he seemed stiff and a little awkward in his backpedal. His straight line speed seemed on par with other Safeties, but I thought he was a little heavy footed. He's BIG, not crazy tall, but bulky as hell. He looks more like a LB than a S. I have a hunch he moves down to LB as often as he plays S.

Yes, but how is fibonacci sequence applied here?

Uhm..... we're at 3 in the sequence?

Going in which direction?  If it is on the greater side, the next numbers are 5, 8, 13, .... and it won't take long to look like 2010 again.  So I am hoping for the lesser side were the numbers are 2, 1, and 0.

No Aaron Rouse jinx.  If I had to bet he's lining up more as LB than S even though that position seems fluid.  If he actually takes off I'm guessing Joe Thomas is moving on.

That would be a neat trick. But we are called Titletown

Re: fibonacci sequence

Did John Urschel inspire you?

If GB wins a SB in Minny I'm counting it as two titles. If Rodgers thanks the state of Minny for letting them use the tool shed and says he's thankful no one was crushed by zinc panels it's three titles. If Guion wins the MVP, hits a bong and empties a 9mm clip through the glass roof it's five titles.

Burnett took snaps at ILB with the 1s on D next to Thomas today. Brice and Ha Ha at S. Situational passing D. Right???

Considering how they continue to get gashed down the middle of the field I would not be surprised if these guys are splitting spots 50/50.  So essentially Thomas, Jones, Burnett.

I'm not overly optimistic on how this defense handles hybrid players but the risk is worth it.

Now if they start the season and we see the conventional (if there is such a thing) D, I'll be scratching my head . . . among other things.

I'm in Bakersfield and the stuff is fantastic. Try Cafe Smitten downtown for their version if your wife ever visits.
