Yeah, but I bet you showed up for the first day of training camp anyway.

I got a dry socket with mine. Hurt like a bitch. My Mom made me a Brandy Alexander though. That helped.

Vs Geronimo Allison, this could be an interesting camp battle. I could never understand why MM couldn't find ANY role for Davis in that offense, especially in seasons where the Packers desperately needed speed at WR.

What you want from King, purely in terms of health, is what happened with Mike Neal. Played a combined 14 games his 1st 2 seasons, then suddenly got healthy around 2012 and had 3 years playing 16 game seasons after.

Neal did bone headed shit off the field, so NO, I am not talking about that. But he did shut up critics who said he'd never be healthy.

First practice? Out for the season.

Announcement just came across my iPad.......wow, surprise indeed.  Dang it.  He just started a school backpack give away to lots of school age kids in Green Bay, said it was going to be an annual thing for him and his wife to do.   I know itā€™s got nothing to do with how good of a player he is, but was a real nice jester on his part.  I always liked him........

Question regarding King is his ability to stay that way. He needs to break out of his Nick Perry career path and string together a healthy stretch.

Edit: Just read he's missed 17 games over his first two seasons.

Yep he has missed that many games in his first two seasons.  I keep hoping this is the year the football injury gods finally give the Packers a break.

Dang, I wish we had thought of that when I had mine.  I had my wisdom teeth removal procedure done on a Friday and that dry socket lasted all weekend.  I could not wait to get back to that dentist office on Monday morning to get that fixed.  That was one of the most miserable weekends I ever had.  I remember taking tons of codeine but that barely dulled the constant pain.

The sad thing was, the drugs they gave me during the tooth removal surgery were some of the best drugs I ever had.  I felt so good when I left the office.  But once that wore off a few hours later, that's when I knew I had the dry socket.  Like going from the penthouse to the outhouse.

I had mine out back in the mid 1970's. One had a hook shaped root that caused me and the Dentist some anxiety. Good old Doc covered me with Percodan. I took one and laid down on the couch and had a really hard time trying to get up again. I felt some pain, but did not care. That Percodan was some powerful stuff.

God, hearing that makes me think back all the way to 1980 when the Packers wanted to play #1 pick Bruce Clark at NT and he wanted no part of it, preferred DT or DE.  So he bolted to Canada.  Up to the Packers coaching staff to convince Jones it's not just in the team's best interests that he play ILB, but his.  Because -- at least to date -- he's sucked as a safety.

Word sschumer.

And not like he hasn't had PLENTY of opportunities to show he could be a starting safety. Hell, after jettisoning HHCD to Washington and Brice getting hurt, there was no one left to play safety and he STILL couldn't cut it.

I think they are playing him at ILB because he's least likely to make major fu** ups.

Packers Net Income was down 98% due to player/coach salaries, including the AR deal and replacing MM staff. I do believe the team was still slightly profitable in spite of the nearly 100% decline in net income.

20,000 fans have been pretty standard at the annual share holders meeting - in 2019 the attendance was 4,200.

I'm afraid we have all been thoroughly spoiled by the Wolf/Harlan turnaround and the wonderful "teaser" 2010 season and SuperBowl.

Give credit where it is due...MM and crew somehow got it done by sheer hard work ...one very blessed year with good fortune sprinkled all over from the football God's.

Now we are back in the wilderness...perhaps MiLF and Gute are the new answers...but...it might just be time for a long stretch of crapola hanging onto an aging and one injury away from having a somewhat "broken down" QB.

Time will tell...but it might be time to pay the piper for a long stretch of good fortune.

Welcome to 1971 boys and gals. Let's hope for a better ending

Sorry this isn't 1971 or going back to the wandering in the wilderness days.  I am assuming you remember well the 70s and 80s and there is no comparison.  Back then the Packers where a total and complete hot mess in everything they did.  The board of directors all thought they were football minds, the organization was nuetered by things like the Hadl trade, terrible coaching, terrible drafting, and just no solid direction.

Time will tell on MLF and if/when Gute can finish his rebuild of the roster but at least there is a vision of what they want to do and players are wanting to come to GB.  There is talent on this team.  Sure it may be thin at spots but given a healthy year I bet they will surprise you big time.

As for Kizer I totally agree that guy has shown nothing to me.  Perhaps he is still trying to get the stink of Cleveland off of him still.

Oh FFSakes...I warned you about this guy.

Mama cookin him some soup as we speak.

He might still be a late season savior though...I can see that happen too. I really can. Complete lottery pick with this guy...worth it at rd6...but this is exactly and I mean exactly what I was worried about.

WTF did you want him to say?

"LaFleur never considered moving practice indoors today with rain:"

Never could understand why a little rain or cold and GB immediately went indoors when there was a chance thatā€™s what the weather was going to be wherever they played that week. Yes, thereā€™s a slightly higher risk of injury, but at least guys also learn how to handle footing, ball security, focus, etc., in practice and not in a game. Itā€™s football.

As a minority in present day America...it's impossible for me to be racist...god bless Nancy's lil heart for that gift. I can hate on whomever I wish and it's quite legal to beat on whitey in Portland...just sayin...I'm safe.

And as a matter of record...the racism on this forum is something I stay away from and do not comment on.

See the latest Raven Greene comments here as a perfect example..."not much between the ears" ect.

You are barkin up the wrong tree there son.

Now back to regularly scheduled programming....GO PACK GO
