Veteran offensive tackle Jared Veldheer, who worked out for the Cowboys last week and was expected to sign with the team, has opted to retire, according to a source. Veldheer played for the Packers last season. With injuries to Tyron Smith (neck), La’el... https://t.co/TvNoFFijbd

He was holding out for us? 😉
He was holding out so he could say 'fuck you' to the Jerry's 'Boys.
Anybody know if there are any run stoppers available for the Packers, right now? Snacks looks to be retired. Can anyone who has been released, or cut, give our DL some oomph stopping the run?
I'm going with no.
After Damon Harrison, I don't see anyone on this list that jumps out, do you? Marcell Dareus? Read he was recovering from core muscle surgery. Jabaal Sheard I thought was always a very tough DL, but may be too small for a 3-4.
And there goes Jabaal Sheard: https://profootballtalk.nbcspo...rd-visits-the-lions/
Best answer to the porous Packer run defense might be what we've seen the last two games- build a commanding lead so the opposition has to throw the ball.
Former NFL All-Pro DT Damon “Snacks” Harrison, who openly contemplated retirement last year, has decided to play this season and is scheduled to visit next week with the Seahawks, per source. The 31-year-old Harrison also has received interest from the Bears, Packers and Bengals.

He's an edge rusher, why would GB would want to add another one ?
I sure hope something happens DT wise with those 2 open spots on the 53.

Too bad the NFL can't do something about the ridiculous contract O'Brien gave Tunsil (3 years, 66 million) after he panicked traded for him last year and couldn't risk letting him get to free agency?
He also traded away DeAndre Hopkins for peanuts.
There is a clown that lost control on several levels. What a friggin' yahoo.
I hope that GM Bill O’Brien was forced to fire Head Coach Bill O’Brien first, and then GM Bill O’Brien was then fired after that.
If OBrien made the same GM moves he did while playing Madden, it would have kicked him off the network and a message would have popped up saying “For the love of God, find another hobby “.
How fast do they get Son-of-Bum in there?
O'Brien probably minimized the success of his talent more than any coach could have. He had DeAndre Hopkins, JJ Watt, Clowney, and some other great pieces and then got to add a legit franchise QB in Watson. In the context of wanting to swing for the fences, the Tunsil trade actually made some sense as Tunsil is a good LT. But why do that and then trade Hopkins?
Whoever takes over is going to have a long rebuild at this point. They didn't have 1st round pick this year and only 5 total picks so it's not like they are going to get a big lift from that draft class next year. Even worse, they don't have 1st or 2nd round picks next year. By the time 2022 rolls around and they have top picks, Watson's cap number soars to 40 million +.

Banned for being a troll.
"That asshole just jacked the entire LT market!"
O'Brien "LEEEERROOYY JENNNKINNNNS"
I mean at this point, shouldn't the NFL just take the franchise away from the McNair's if they do this?
This is like saying "Boy I'm glad I got past that concussion. Now to replace that, I'm going to bash myself in the face with a shovel for an hour"
One potential candidate for the new HC job that the #Texans plan to explore is #Jets HC Adam Gase, if he is fired. Per @TomPelissero

I just don't get it. I'm sure they'd give Gase full control too.

Bill O'Brien > Dan Devine!!
Free agent DT Damon Harrison tells me he's now visiting with the #Seahawks on Tuesday. "Then I have a visit with Green Bay on Wednesday," Harrison told me.

Looks like the FO threw in some knee cozies.
Fuck Snacks!!
I mean, sign him, yeah. But fuck him for playing the "visit" game.
Obviously trying to play both teams against each other to get the highest bidder.
He's simply using Green Bay to make Seattle pay more. Seattle is where he really wants to go
That’s fine, drive up the price.
Seattle just keeps adding pieces. Snacks are nice though. Who doesn't love snacks?
Three times better than sKittles.
Re: SEA: Does Snacks play corner? Re: GB: Wasn't Snacks already offered a contract?
If I was Gutey I'd call Schneidy and tell him "yeah, we got zero interest in Snacks...lowball the fuck out of him."
Then offer just a little more when Seattle lowballs him.
I don't want any player who'd rather bet on Russell Wilson over #12...not that bright.
If gase gets canned and goes to houston, I can't even...2020 is a weird year for sure. out of the frying pan into the fryer i guess. on another note, what is the draw for gase, i can't really understand it - good for the other teams in their division i guess.
1 year in the future....Jordan Love is going to start & look like Joe Burrow in this offense....Then you'll be sorry.....You'll all be sorry & eating your words
And they'll still have a huge hole in the middle of the D.
From what I understand via Bukowski, the Packers have offered Snacks a VERY VERY competitive offer.
Bottom line....Do You want to win?? Do you want to play? TBH....I don't think the guy is all THAT great but he should help a little bit. Kind of like Howard Green did in 2010 & I'm not talking about his gigantic play in the Super Bowl.

Now there's a HC/Front office that has shortchanged their signal caller. They're ruining the kid.
