Interesting that Seattle has yet to promote Snacks Harrison from the PS. He signed over a month ago. This suggests either the veteran DT reported in poor shape and/or he hasn’t been impressive

Wasn't sure where to put this but good article about Billy Turner.

"His biggest challenge in a Packers uniform may have come last Thursday at San Francisco, where he started his third straight game at left tackle for Bakhtiari but then flipped over to right tackle at halftime when Rick Wagner left with a knee injury.

Afterward, LaFleur admitted "that's not easy" to pull off in-game, yet the coaches asked him to do it because second-year left guard Elgton Jenkins said he felt better about sliding over one spot than switching sides."

He may have found out that the weather in Seattle isn't much better than the weather in Green Bay. We don't need a wuss, like Snacks, in G&G.

Wow, Kizer gets his revenge game in two weeks?

Kizer has played in 18 games. He was 0-15 as a starter in Cleveland.

He played in 3 games in Green Bay but didn't throw a pass in one of them (a win against the Falcons in which he took one kneel-down snap).

In the other two games, he played when Rodgers got injured. he went 16 of 35 with an interception in a shutout loss to end the 2018 (to the Lions).

The only game Kizer has thrown a pass in that his team won was when Rodgers got hurt against the Bears and Kizer came in at the end of the first half to lead two drives before Rodgers returned in the second half to lead them back. The first Kizer drive ended with him fumbling in the red zone and the second Kizer drive he threw a pick 6 on a screen to K. Mack right before the half.

He was the QB for 10 Drives as a Packer. They were stopped going for it on 4th down twice, they punted 4 times, he threw 2 interceptions, fumbled once, and his most successful drive was when he knelt for one play to run out the clock at the end of a win.

Holy shit that's astonishingly awful

Considering Randall is making about the same impact Kizer is making I think that trade is a wash. Randall, despite his pedigree, wasn’t going anywhere and was an asshole apparently. So wasting the 5th is worse.

Oh yes it was.  I was at that shutout loss to the Lions in 2018.  I have never in my life left a Packer game early but I did that day.  I looked at my wife mid way through the 4th quarter of that $hi+ show and said we are leaving.  One of the worst Packers games I ever witnessed and I lived through the dark years.

Hah, hilarious.....

Sean Peyton -- gigantic ego

Taysom Hill -- ZERO TD passes for his entire career. Z-E-R-O & he makes $10 million!!

Winston should be starting.

What's worse:

Trading a former 1st Rounder for this guy?

Or using a 5th Rounder for this guy?

There may an additional option coming.

The Kizer trade was trying to get something out of a complete nothing.  I won't fault Gint for that trade.

Even Matt Flynn had to throw multiple TDs to get his eight-figure payday.

I can't remember what thread the Glop quote about 2021 free agency being a bumper crop.  The optimistic thought that passes through my mind is he's targeting a 2021 spending spree.  Considering the cap is going to be pretty damn low I don't know where the cabbage would come from for that kind of move.

Granted, it sure the hell doesn't explain his draft choices.

Andrew Brandt mentioned off hand on twitter that he believes the cap will be between $180M and $185M. Currently GB has cap allocations for '21 of $197M, so everyone is going to have to figure this shit out. GB is like middle of the road in that amount being over the potential cap. Going to be a weird offseason.

2021 Salary Cap

The big jump in the 2021 cap allocation is AR12 (+15M).  Kenny Clark's cap allocation jumps big in 2022 (+13.5M).  Davante Adams is a FA in 2022.  Biggest targets for restructure/cut in 2021:

* Preston Smith (save 8M, leaves 8M in dead cap),  Christian Kirksey (save 6M, leaves 2M in dead cap),  Rick Wagner (save 4.2 M, leaves 1.8M in dead cap), and Dean Lowry (save 3.3M, leaves 3M in dead cap).

For reference, this does not count Aaron Jones, Corey Linsley, Kevin King, Jamaal Williams, or Tyler Lancaster whom are all free agents.
