But Rodgers isn't elite.
I want to see the list of the Vikings players that made the Pro Bowl. The’re the ones that are going to be playing in that game.
Where's Kumerow?
Dr._Bob posted:But Rodgers isn't elite.
You're basing that on a pro bowl selection?
We have very different opinions on what elite means.
Giving props to Mason Crosby, considering everything he’s dealt with in his personal life he’s had an excellent season. Well deserved.

Danny V!
Almighty whitey?
[checks to see if Goldie's boyfriends Tom Brady and Baker Mayfield made the Pro Bowl]

Honestly other than a stretch last year, he’s been money and an area of the roster you haven’t had to worry about.
Vikings fans in full meltdown mode Rodgers was selected over Cousins. Not saying they may have a point , but oh, fuck them. 🥰🤫
Mack over Za'Darius Smith?
Pro Bowl always has been and remains a joke.

Like Little League....everybody gets a medal
Vitale? What has he done yet n regular season????
Not certain why anyone cares about the Pro Bowl.
It gives Vikings fans something to whine about.
Clearly I failed, I only voted once.
You would make a horrible Liberal.
Snubs?
That list start with Aaron Jones.
I guess he's just not 'shiny' enough...
Well you might as well just take away his voting rights then.

In his playoff career, he is 59 for 59 on XPs and 26 for 29 on FGs.
He's had one bad year in his 13 years. In 2012, he went 21 for 33 on FG attempts. And even that was a little misleading in that he went 2 for 9 on FGs of 50 yards+ that year.
We often talk about how long a stretch of great QBing the Packers have had stretching back to trading for Favre, but we've had almost that long a stretch of solid kickers as well.
Crosby 2006-present (81.0% career on FG) and holds the NFL record for consecutive playoff FG makes.
Longwell 1997-2005 (81.6% on FG as a Packer)
Jacke 1989-1996 (77.2% on FG as a Packer)
30 years of really good kickers in one of the toughest venues in the NFL to kick in.
Think Cousins and Prescott were both probably more deserving than AR.
You got to win on Monday Night Football before you can be named to the Pro Bowl. Besides, Rodgers won't play anyway. Much ado about nothing.

Well, those who's contracts are tied to them do. Other then that, yep, agree.
By being voted onto the Pro Bowl's original roster, Packers LT David Bakhtiari earned a $500,000 escalator to his 2020 base salary (which now becomes $10.5 million). https://t.co/70OCWv7NT4

Letting the fans vote really diminishes the selection process, IMO.

All Pro is the only team worth talking about. Bak made that 3 years in a row (2016-2018) but was just a Pro Bowl alternate once.
Prescott QB of a 7-7 team. Pro Bowl?
Dr._Bob posted:It gives Vikings fans something to whine about.
They whine if it’s 70 and Sunny!
All we hear about is how great of a QB he is though and needs to be paid like a franchise QB. Dak Prescott is all hype just like his predecessor.
Great hip swivel though. 🙂
If you're into that sort of thing...

Compare the stat lines. Hard to make the case AR is more deserving.

Do those stats count in the W column?
Is the Pro Bowl (individual based accolade) based on a teams W-L record?
It's based on individual stats and of course on popularity.
NFL's Pro Bowl can go eff off after they named Vick an honorary captain.
Linsley ?
Kenny Clark
Davante Adams
Z Smith
All heading to the Pro Bowl now due to others dropping out.
Should be a great game
Believe Favre and Reggie White were in it the last time I watched the game.
The NFL is going to try a new rule where the team that scored can choose to take the ball again at the 25 but they have to get 15 yards in 1 play to keep the ball
Last time I watched this game -- Favre threw a TD pass to Jerry Rice.
Look it up. I could have an adult child it was so long ago.
Jerry was a DB?
Rice didn't fumble?
Why would Clark and Z Smith go? They that interested in slow dancing with OL?
The Pro Bowl is a waste of time. Just another chance for a player to sustain an injury. Nothing is gained by going to the Pro Bowl, except more dollars flowing into the NFL coffers. In the MLB All Star game, the winner, at least gets home field advantage in the World Series. What does the winner of the Pro Bowl get? A two headed coin for the first coin toss of the upcoming regular season? A tour of the vikings hall of fame with an emphasis on their could've been-should've been trophies in that empty trophy case? Nope, not even that!
Player pay incentives and endorsement $.

Dumb. All that will do is lengthen games as we get to watch while the coach agonizes over whether to do it or not, then they send in the squad to try it, then watch the play, then they change squads whether they made it or not, etc. If the NFL doesn't want to have a kickoff, then just give it to the other team at the 25 after every score. If the score is close and you are down, then you can choose to go for an onside kick, but make it the old way and not today's rule where the kicking team gets it only once in a blue moon.

Can't wait!
We need a countdown clock.
The fact that Y.A. "liked" a Pro Bowl thread is pretty much all we need to know about him.
Count me as one that enjoys YA Tittle and has zero problems with all the Likes. I'm kind of surprised it bothers anyone.
I second that emotion.
Good for these ones who got added. Well deserved. I think for the players, it's something you go to once, you see it, been there and done that and then you don't need to do it ever again.
Kinda like seeing the Grand Canyon.
More guys were willing to go when the game was played in Hawaii.
Imagine that!

It’s really just an alternative to the onside kick. Only for use in desperation. I kind of like it. Too much risk (giving the other team the ball at the 25 or so) to use any other time.
probably a slight better chance of success than current onside rules.

He "liked" a Pro Bowl thread FFS!!!!!!
That just ain't right.
With all due respect Orlando ain’t the Grand Canyon. Perhaps Hawaii?
Leave BK alone. Brother is living large and he’s made me think more about retirement out west. Need to get there by 60. Yes probably keep Sconnie up nort in the mix June-August but F to that otherwise.
By the way what’s a defined benefit plan?
