Hopefully get some positive news from Gary.

Gary will say he's back to near 100%, but the fact remains, it's going to take time for him to get back up to speed. Takes well over a year to recover fully from an ACL even under optimal circumstances.

I hate when we score touchdowns on ourselves and I hate when we don't score touchdowns on ourselves. It's a conflicting time of year.

Packers video on YouTube of Lafleur’s latest press conference. The audio is of some shitty music rather than Lafleur’s voice. Packers social media is the worst in all of sports. Ridiculous! Most of their videos are broadcast at such a low volume that I have to turn the sound up to almost full blast to hear it.

It can only help having a 2 All-Pro's at CB with a young QB1. Yes, there will be some definite growing pains. But that's the only way Love gets better.

Really thinking that MLF and Steno are going to work that middle of the field in 2023. Just got the vibe Rodgers didn't really want to go there much unless Cobb was running free.

Now that this team has not 1 but 2 very athletic, fast TE's, I cannot see how GB doesn't try and exploit this. Not to mention, many of those plays should be easy pitch and catches for Love to throw as well.

Dude's smoothness reminds me of a young Jimmy Graham.

All the practice and pre-season games are nice to talk about, but none of it matters until the bullets are real. Bert was a horrendous practice player early in his career, and improved basically to the minimum of the Holmgren standard at his best. Then regressed under every subsequent coach because they were all cucked to his ego.

Don't give a fuck what 10 does in practice if when the lights come on, he does the business.

The typical return to play timeline is 9-10 months following ACL reconstruction (ACLR). Research has shown that athletes who return to football prior to nine months after surgery are 7x more likely to re-injure their surgically repaired knee. For every month beyond the six months post-op, re-injury risk drops by 50%.

🤔

AR leaves and conditioning is the best since MLF has been here. Now that  would be a great headline.

Probably a huge reason Gute drafted LVN at #1, this past draft. Enagbare will see a lot of snaps, as well, until Rashan is ready to go.

There was a report done recently, and of 67 QB's with over 100 passes since 2019, Rodgers was ranked #65 in number of throws over the middle.  He just never really did it for whatever reason.

The reason is obvious. Passes thrown down the middle are much more likely to be intercepted.

Maybe having White Lightning for Rodgers' early, more impressionable years, gravitated him more towards the outside as well?

That makes sense. Rodgers has also under-utilized the TE's. Whether that has to do with the lack of quality at the position or his reluctance to throw down the middle, I am not sure. I do remember though that he threw a little bit to Jimmy Graham early on.

How many wide receivers do we think the team will keep?  Preseason Packer fans seem to want 9 on the roster

On the team or the active roster? On the 53 I'll go with the 5 of Watson, Doubs, Reed, Toure, and Heath. Heath's slowness should be an asset as he'll be open on check downs after Watson and Musgrave force the defense deep. This will also allow Jones to stay home to pick up the blitz.

Heath seems to have excellent hands and great body-eye coordination; he just gets to balls from that highlight video.

IMHO the lack of a TE who could get open in the middle of the field is more to blame that AR. Offense hummed when Finley, Cook, and a healthy Tonyan were on the field ....they were the only TEs we've had who could run.

Interesting podcast with observations from two beatwriters.
