Yeah I just don't get all the gnashing of teeth over a late 5th round draft choice??
I said it at the time.....They took him because....
- They heard or knew some other team would draft him a little later (6th or 7th round)
- They didn't want to fight the other 31 teams to get him on the UDFA market
This is EXACTLY what you do when you have 11 selections in the draft. Beat your competition to the player you like......and he is CLEARLY a player they liked.
