You run a 3 TE set to start the 2nd half with one WR (a reserve) in a vain attempt to beat the Cover 2 by running. Running is supposed to get teams out of that coverage without having to go to a formation like that. 

Then you finally get some offensive rhythm. You're inside the 5 with a first down and you try fooling people by emptying the backfield and running the QB on a draw. A play Stevie Wonder knew was coming. Fumble. If you have high blood pressure I suggest you not listen to MM's post game presser.

Let's not go overboard on the MM hate. Even if the play doesn't work, it's 1st and goal on the 2. It's Rodgers job not to fumble there. At worst, it's 2nd and 4 or 5 and maybe the LBs have to stay home in the middle of the field the next time they get down there. I'd agree with you on 4th down if that was the call, but MM is not at fault for that. Rodgers has stunk it up today. No ifs, ands, or buts. He's just been awful.
