Tough loss, but a great game.

Losing that timeout with Nelson not getting off the field was a killer. Jordy has to make that catch and then, barring that, get off the ****ing field. If they have two timeouts you can run for a first down or run a quick play in the middle and call timeout and still have one left. If Nelson was OK to come back in for the last play, he should have been able to crawl off the field.

Thanks Dom

How is that Dom's fault with our 6/7 CBs playing at that point?

JFC.

And he didn't even get beat on the outside. They isolated a slot guy on a LB and made the play.

Dix and Gunther both had chances to make game ending interceptions. Both would have been good plays, but that's what needs to happen.

Nelson drops a catchable ball within long FG range.

Guys didn't make plays when they needed to. The coaches put them in position to do so

Thaf was an awful way for the defense to piss it away after the O fought like hell to get the lead back

And before you post some bunk ass "posting alone" response my wife said "what are they doing on D" and "way to let Rodgers and the offense down"

So, I guess you've proven that your football knowledge is matched by your wife.

We knew this was going to be a shoot out. All on the depleted defense ? You're ok with the offense scoring once in the second half ?

Offense only scored eight in the second half. Appears to me Quinn did a better job of adjusting than Pittsburgh Macho did.

Dropped balls on 2 of the drives (Geronimo to open the half and Nelson the last drive) were big plays. Other drives ended because the OL couldn't pass protect. You expect some mistakes from a guy playing his first game (Geronimo) but not Lang/Tretter and Nelson. That's not on MM.

Lol my wife and I are fine

Our health is good, we have two wonderful daughters, and we love our jobs and don't worry about finances.

So yeah we suck BK and and go ahead and feel sorry for us. Says the guy always preaching and correcting others on an Internet forum.

As for the "everyone's hurt" I get that but the offense gave them the lead.  With a number of guys hurt.  This is on Capers.  Play to your strengths which they didn't.  That is frustrating but it's Capers MO.

You can't "blame" Capers under those circumstances. But those same circumstances are why you probably shouldn't put the game in the defenses hands if you can help it. They deferred on the kickoff. Atlanta got 3 points. The Packers got zilch in the 2nd half. As the Falcons were mounting their winning drive I was more worried about how much time would or wouldn't be left when the Packers got the ball back. I had no expectation they would stop them. 1:36 with 0 timeouts and needing a FG to win sounded more appealing than 31 seconds with 2 left. Or 0:00 with 2 timeouts left.

And I apologize in advance to those who hate hindsight b***ching. It's the nature of fans and message boards after a loss.

The Packers offense scored 32.  No Cobb, no Monty, no RBs.

Yet we feel the need to let the defense off the hook?   I guess but that's coaching.

And yes, Packdog- my wife is probably more astute than me with football but that's OK too.

I'm just glad we can count on Compers when it matters.  Had I dropped LSD this afternoon the AZ playoff game last year may have come up

Not sure I call it negative I just call it like it is. It's a game and I'm already over it BK.   Looking forward to Halloween after work tomorrow with the kiddos.

Just don't know how many more chances this team will have to capture greatness and yes I think Capers is holding them back and has been for a while now.

Doesn't make him a bad guy but it's time to move on.

Dom doesn't catch tipped balls.

Players make the plays.  I didn't see D calls that cost us the game.  I saw season beginning deep roster backups having to play and doing pretty well.
