Last season (first owned by AT&T I believe), all I had to do was call up and ask for discounts and they gave them to me. I'll be doing that this week I guess since it is on my bill. Was wondering when this tread would pop up.

I went to them last year with a 2-year, price-locked Comcast offer and asked if they could be competitive or I would leave. Stupid wench never even offered to transfer me to a retention specialist so I walked. I've gotten scads of offers from them since, but have another year at my current rates to go and Comcast's RedZone channel is pretty good.

Recently moved into a new house. Bundled AT&T phone, cellular, internet, DirecTV. Took 12 calls and 8 different tech visits just to get the internet working. Took 2 tech visits and three hours of calls to get DTV working. Still trying to get AT&T to bundle everything onto one bill (nightmare).

End result is I have the Ticket no charge for two years and a long list of other credits. I'm still not sure if it was worth the 45 days of waiting for AT&T to get their **** together. Let's just say there are still a lot of merger kinks that DTV and AT&T need to work through.

Called back in April to cancel the ticket as no longer really need since moving back from Virginia (can cross the border to the In laws and watch now).  Said they'd take care of it....well got my bill Monday and was charged.

So I called Monday night, got a standard apology and asked why I no longer wanted it.  Told them that I no longer needed it, thinking okay here comes a deal potentially as they messed up with the extra charge on the bill.  NOPE, got offered free HBO, told them the only thing I'd accept was free Ticket.  Was told they couldn't do it.

I noped out a few years ago after they tried to force me into buying a base package after being with them for 15 years on the same setup (just nfl, nhl, and the sports channels) . They are relentless. I still get mail offers from them twice a month. Pisses me off every time I see them. I'll never do business with DirecTV again.

Good to me also.....will be calling/cancelling in a couple of weeks.  I am hoping the same charade as usual applies.  I cancel, they refer me to the specialist, we chat, he/she offers little, I hold firm, he/she eventually capitulates, I get it for less than half price as always.   Same for Sirius Radio.

I contacted Sunday NFL Ticket Sunday night.  I was dealing with a young woman who after my  remarks/complaints was willing to offer only one "deal". I've always discussed "Ticket" with men before Sunday. And was happy with the results...not so much this time. She reduced Sunday Ticket Max from $62.99 to $45.00 for 6 months. I took the offer. Saved $107.94 in cost plus $7,55 in tax, total saved $115.49.  Might have done better if I cancelled & called back later, maybe not.

I cut the DTV chord after 18 years this winter. Anyone do just the streaming only Sunday Ticket? Can't find pricing online & not desperate to call yet.

Thinking also of exporting Verizon fed games thru my iPhone to the TV as option 2.

Just spoke with a DTV rep and asked to cancel ST.  It's not a good value to me as most of the GB games are available OTA and on NFL and ESPN.  I'm only missing a few games a year.  I was offered $102 off the regular price ($17/mo for 6 mo).  I said no thanks and he went ahead and cancelled ST.   It's not like it used to be.

I called today to see if I could get Sunday Ticket Max for $0 again (got it last year by agreeing to a new 1 year contract that expires this October). They tried to give me some bull**** about giving me other credits on my bill to bring down the overall cost of the Sunday Ticket, also asked me if I was interested in getting HBO/Showtime/Starz. They did the same thing last year, only difference is they called me back about 30 minutes later after I cancelled my service to give me everything I wanted (free Sunday Ticket Max and a discount on my receiver fees). No such call came this year. I cancelled, and it's over now. Guess things are different now that AT&T owns it all.

There are only 3 Packers games I definitely won't be getting on local TV. At worst, I may have to watch 3-5 games with an online stream. No big deal.

No local Packer bar option?

Keep cancelling. The more people that cancel, the less they can charge for ads less subs = less people are "watching"

They'll do something to lure you back.

People as a group have all the power. Now we simply need to work together to get the prices dropped.

^ hmmm. this happened to me last year but they called me back. you still have up until the disconnect date I guess .

Im gonna try this week. subscriber since 2000 and never paid for the TIcket(directly). fingers crossed

I cancelled my Sunday Ticket. I'm going to get cable because I have developed a tree issue (it's huge) and rather than pay to get the tree trimmed, I'll find the less expensive option. I am pretty sure that I'll get all but 4 games.

...'til a falling limb or branch takes out the wire from pole to house.
Since streaming quality is VASTLY improved, I'm thinking this is a good time to send the stream to TV via laptop/tablet, Firestick, Sling, or some other alternative.
I hate cable because you can't choose your channels a la' carte, their 'package' or 'tiered' pricing is hideously expensive, and customer service is POOR.
And AT&T is way too crooked to do any business with, at least for me, so dishes are out.
So, I do need to make into the 21st century one of these days...

Not much fun to go to a sports bar on the west coast for early games. I don't want beers and bar food at 10 am.

Bummer! (same time in the PHX market)
There's nothing like a well made Bloody Mary and a great breakfast to start the game.
Check out the menu's at my bar.

Feeling a bit guilty because there were only two games last season where I had to go there, and at least the first two games this season.

Weirdo.

BOOOOO!!!! You're definitely not a real x4 member.  That's just poor form right there.

Agree.  There's nothing better than a "good" Bloody Mary with a beer chaser and and an omelet  breakfast at 9:30 am Sunday morning.  By the time the game starts - I can then order a second Bloody Mary to enjoy the game.   Then, go home and take a nap after the game.

Although I should add I don't do that anymore (or can't).   But it use to be the Sunday routine during the '90's before Sunday NFL Ticket. (and before kids).

I'm just too old now for all that (although I do miss it).

I called last week and read them the riot act. I pay the normal price for the ticket but got the packers intermittently last week. Normal fox local coverage was in hurricane coverage last week. Usually in that case the game would be on a separate dedicated channel. Not last week. I could only watch when the red zone channel had it on. I asked for a week credit but did not get it..

I'm doing pretty good to be up and running by 10 am on a Sunday morning. Getting into the car and driving to a sports bar by that time is asking too much.

They don't make 'em like they use to!

What are some good, dependable online streams I could use to watch the Packers play? Are there fees involved? Living at the mercy of Twin Cities media in western Wisconsin doesn't cut it any more. I have Comcast bundle for phone, TV and internet.  If I cannot find a good streaming service to watch the Packers on, I may cut my Comcast account down to just internet service and go with DirecTV  to cover the TV and just drop my phone all together. Nothing but telemarketers from 8:00 AM until 10:00PM, anyway.

What AT&T is doing is completely cancelling your ST / ST Max if you're getting a discount / free.

They did this to me & I had to call in again & threaten to cancel my entire account if this didn't get resolved.

I called on Sept 2, to ensure everything was correct as I was leaving the country. My ST Max was cancelled on Sept 4th & I wasn't even in the country.

Ridiculous! On top of it they try to get me to switch cell Carriers to AT&T.

Eff AT&T!
