I remember when TT was a genius for signing Bennett just 7 months ago rather than retaining Cook. Oh well, better for the team to cut its losses rather than having to pay him in 2018 and 2019.

Amazing NE got such productivity out of him last season and he has just shat the bed, as a receiver at least, in GB.

I guess there was a reason this head case was with 5 different teams the past 7 or 8 years.

Well add TE to the long list of needs next season.

Bennett has been "me first" from the get go.

Making sure everyone knew he was studying the playbook as if that should not be expected.

Sleeping in the facility and letting everyone know so we could all ooh & ahh over his dedication.

Bennett has a been me first since he got in the NFL. Bitched about Witten in Dallas. Sucker punched teammate in Chicago.

Not saying he has not earned or deserved the money he made, but not sad he'll not be in GB next year.

Still pisses me off that NE somehow got the most out of him last season when Gronk went down.

No problem with Bennett hanging em up given that based upon his comments and play in the field his heart is obviously not in it any more.

Just would have preferred for him to announce it once the Packers were out of it or at the end of the season so as to not be a distraction.

Oh, and since the Pack signed him to that big 3 YEAR contract this offseason I certainly hope Bennett is offering to give back the pro-rated portion of his signing bonus.

If not, I hope the Pack goes after his pass dropping self for every last penny.

Good one, CJ.   Bad choice of words from the owner for sure.   He should've said:  "Inmates running the ASSylum".  But then, another portion of American would be offended.  He probably should've kept everything behind closed door.

You, SandDiego, are a complete and total mother ****ing coward. And a moron.

Bob didn’t keep “everything behind closed door” because that padlock has been kicked clean off. And maybe that’s a good thing. Let’s get everyone’s initiative out in plain sight.

You can fight what you can’t see. But every bit of transparency helps.

May I just add, since Marty decided to announce his retirement in week 8 (), then why not push Kendricks and/or Rodgers to the front of line?

Kendricks has had a stupidly quiet role as a TE but in the few opportunities he's had, he actually caught the ball and moved the chains. Rodgers isn't the speediest, but he also has pretty good hands and can catch plenty of TD's.

I don't give a **** about hard feelings or Bennett's base salary, he's obviously no part of the future in GB. Might as well see if 82 or 84 are worth keeping around in 2018

....and why the F announce it now ...unless you're  a "Me first" douche.

If you're a "me first" douche and make plays your douchery is often overlooked. Not so much when you are a load mouthed douche and a disappointment on the field.

Thanks to Mr Barr his highlight will live in Packer lore forever and will be seen over and over again.   My great, great grand kids will ask "how the fook can you not catch that!'

Amazing? Par for the course for that club. They are the master of taking on 'personalities' getting the max and then dumping them.

???  I have no clue why you are so angry and have to swear because I gave an opinion that you disagree with.  Come on CJ. Don't be that guy AGAIN.

1. He puts zero effort into the game.

2. He has 187 drops for zero yards.

3. He is not focusing on the game or improving.

At this point I only want him in the game on usually innocuous downs where he lines up to block (e.g., Field Goals and Punts).

I was at the saints game sitting down by the tunnel. After the game. A fan held a sign saying Bennett can't catch the ball. I thought at the time it was a little rude  I have changed my mind now.

Yes.  Many, Ammo.  There's just been too many posters on this board who like to cuss out other posters for having an opinion and then take it to a personal level...which isn't necessary.   Keep it pithy and not pissy.
