It's an amazing turn of events given his departure from the Packers and how he ran his mouth on the way out the door.  It's clear to me now he's a lying POS and it just confirms to me that New England cannot be trusted.   MB can play dumb all he wants but you know damn well the Cheatriots will take any angle to gain an advantage.  **** Marty and **** the Pats.

I thought the level of frustration and outrage could not surpass the Anthony Barr incident but I was completely wrong.   This is far worse as it shows the guy has zero integrity and now he is trying to backtrack to cover his ass.  He threw the Packers franchise under the bus for no reason so I hope he gets what he deserves.  Karma is a beeotch MB you fraud.  And I hope the Pats eat a big schit sandwich at some point as well.

His agent tells teams not to pick him up off the waivers since he needs surgery... until Pat's come calling. Then he says, "f*ck it, I'm playing".

Tynes splits the uprights on that one - nice to see that most NFL players know what this is all about.  F**k Martellus Bennett!

I know it would never happen, but sweet, sweet revenge would be AR coming back to lead GB into the Super Bowl and beating Lil' Lyin' Bennett and Brady. Dreaming.............

We can dream about Aaron Rodgers and the Packers exacting sweet revenge on Bennett and the Patriots, can't we? That would be beyond awesome.

On the other hand, a nightmare scenario would be Bennett catching a TD pass from Brady as New England wins its sixth Super Bowl followed by Bennett tweeting FU to the Pack and their fans.

I listened to the pregame tonight on Westwood 1 as I was driving home from work. They interview Tom Brady every week. He stated he knew how great it would to have Marsellusout back on the Pats.  He did not say how great it was once he was released but how great it would be to have him back. I think the NFL needs to investigate if there was collusion by Brady and the Pats prior to the Packers releasing him.

My thoughts exactly and I've been looking at national media for this angle and all I get is Boomer Esiason talking about what a crappy play this was by Bennet. No collusion hint and I think this is ridiculous. The storyline from I am retiring, I need surgery, don't claim me because I'm going to get surgery to hell yeh Bill - to playing on Monday is absurd.

Forget it. Goodell will never look into it as he and Kraft are best buddies. GB could probably file a complaint, but a) I doubt they do that and are probably just happy to be rid of him and his attitude, and b) the NFL won't look into it anyway. But by not looking into it, the NFL opens the door for other players to do the same. For example, Andrew Luck can pull an MB to get out of Indy. "Owie, owie! I need to retire because my shoulder hurts and I need surgery. Wait. GB is calling? Put me on a plane!"

My biggest disappointment is the sports media giving MB a pass on this. SI's King says nothing other than, wow, Bennett went from being released and taking his kid to school to playing the same week. No one has grilled him about the stunt he pulled. So much for hoping the media points out the hypocrisy.

CBS Sports Boston has a typical Patriots response to this story. It goes something like, yeah maybe MB was a bit wrong, yeah maybe the Packers were a bit wrong, yeah maybe the Patriots were a bit wrong - but who cares. We are the Patriots and this just shows why every player wants to come here. My take anyways.

Agree. Unfortunately, Vikings looking good right now. I'm hoping that annual implosion doesn't skip a year...

Depends on where the "implosion" comes from.  So the Vikings get to the SB.  Yes they may have the hotel space, but no way to get to the game.  This may get JJ off the hook for his SB blunders.    Ineptitude comes in many forms.

If Tom Brady goes down for the season next week, I look for Bennett's injury to flare up enough that he probably will have to go on IR.  He's a frontrunner and as soon as the going gets tough, he'll get going... going towards not playing anymore that is.

Bull****.  Bennett saw the train bearing down on him because his story was such a farce it was unreal.  There is no way his story doesn't get more scrutiny even if it was after the season was over.  That was the most blatant act of chicanery that absolutely flies in the face of the current contract.  Pats would gladly oblige because they are most definitely party to the **** show.
