Thanks for the share.

I've been reading a lot this week about maybe cutting Matthews. From what I've read about Pettine, CM3 seems like one of those play-makers he will scheme to maximize the 1:1.

He still put up 7.5 sacks while (IMO) he was miscast & misused.

I have a hunch he'll be a lot better in the 2018 defense if they keep him around.

I'd like to see some 'prove it' to justify the $.

Clem Matthews is the guy that briskly walks around the construction site with a 2x4 to look busy.  Doesn't really accomplish jack squat, but he tries to make it look good.  He'll come flailing about at an offensive lineman, fly his arms around like he's doing some kind of "pass rush move" and hits the turf. *hair swish*

Overpaid.

Speaking of overpaid....is Randall Cobb still a Packer?

Much more so than Coradelle Patterson. You know, that guy you traded a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th to draft.  That guy who had all of 2 receptions one year.  Go on, tell us what a great Viking he was, how you got such great value and use from all those draft picks you traded away.  And you say the Packers overpay?  Your as much a dumbass as Very Special Jeenyus.   13.

The only concern I've ever had about Clay is his injuries.  On the field he clearly did everything he could to help the team.  The construction analogy above is just stupid.

I wasn't a fan of the Corswazzle Patterson trade-up.  Way too many good players available in that draft class of '13.

Speaking of which, where's Datone Jones playing nowadays? LOL!!  Nuke Hopkins, Zach Ertz or Darius Slay sure would've looked good in that G helmet, huh?  Thanks Ted.

At least the Vikes didn't commit 10 mill/per year for him like Cobb.  Vikes made up for the Corsnazzle kerfuffle that same draft class by signing an undrafted free agent named.....

Adam Thielen.

Exactly I would bet quite a bit that the improvement on D will be very profound this year.  As for Mathews and Cobb I don't think either one is going anywhere yet.  Maybe after next season but I don't think there will be anything really drastic come their way just yet.

I have to admit, I am impressed with Bukkake.  He knows way more about the Packers than I would ever even care to know about the Vikings (and I live smack dab in the middle of Viking country).

Might be a case of "know thy enemy"...might be a case of jealousy....might be that Bukkake used to be a Packer fan...might be he/she is really good at using Google

Doesn't really matter.  I am still impressed with how much he knows about the Packers.

How's that Sam Bradford thing working out for you ****stick?

You decided to ooze into another thread. If it continues, I will melt this ****ing board and you, coward.  I can guarantee you, you will question your worthless existence by the time I'm done.  Get back to your hole.

I'm on my first cup of coffee and brewing up a new pot.  Bring it.

The fact that both Cobb and Matthews were out there playing hard in a meaningless game at the end of the season says a lot. Those are the guys you keep.

The other thing about Matthews is that even if the stupid construction analogy was correct (and it's not), he's still a guy that finds a way to make a game-chaning play a few times a season (forcing the interception in OT against Cleveland). He did this 4-5 times a year when he was younger, but he still has that ability. That's what separates guys like Woodson, Peppers, and Matthews from other players. You don't cut those types of guys if their contracts are still reasonable (and I think CM3 at 13 million is OK when you consider the top guys are now are or will be approaching 20 million at that position).

There was recently talk around various football sites that Teddy Bridgewater was being looked at as a back up to Arod in GB. Probably  just some rumblings from vikings fans to give their players some legitimacy.

Matthews walks around with a 2x4 on his shoulder, than uses it to bitch smack you into retirement.

Maybe the princess is Max "These days I'm a Favre fan first"?

I don't mind Clay being compared to this guy. He was a badass, and loves America!

This is my favorite part and the only mention of Bukkake Princess's tertiary team behind his wee child obsessions with a successful team, the Packers.

The Vikings defense mirrors the Seahawks four years ago in that it's loaded at every level with homegrown talent and will keep them competitive for a couple of years.

Woo!  That's a ringing endorsement.  Flash in the ****ing pan.

I was at the final game in Detroit and in person Clay is just bringing it every single play even in a game that meant nothing.  That is what team leaders do and that with pass rush ability is something you just don't replace easily.  What they need for Clay is someone to team him up with that can rush the passer.  Perry is good if he can stay on the field but it seems like he is as fragile as Glass joe from the old Mike Tyson punch out.

I think it's a bit early to be be thinking the "power structure" changing.
The same things said about the Vikes could be said about DallAss or Filthadelphia. The biggest difference, IMO, is that 2 of those teams are set at QB for the foreseeable future....

That would imply he is of the same species.

The Rams and Vikings will continue to be contenders in the NFC so long as:

1. The Packers stay hurt; and

2. The Seahawks stay hurt; and

3. The Cardinals stay hurt; and

4. The Eagles stay hurt; and

5. The Cowboys keep getting suspended.

The entire NFC playoff field has 2 SBs between all 6 of the franchises in their history. Last years NFC playoff field had 14 SBs between all 6 teams. Perennial winners will soon return to being perennial winners, the championshipless franchises will continue to be championshipless.

Cardinals probably are in need of a little rebuild.

Yes not only their HC but they need a QB too plus it's possible Larry F hangs them up.

The Cardinals might want Shurmur & Case Keenum. No lie! Shurmur already interviewed.
