It's 94 degrees, I'm not a monk, so I put the AC on like a civilized human being.

Without fail, my wife's friends come over to exchange words and stand in the damn doorway.  Come inside or get the **** out, but don't stand in my damn doorway eating my AC.

Wife says I overreact.

"Rocket Fuel malt liquor. Damn!"

I just remember my dad YELLING  are you trying to make the electric company rich,  or are you trying to air condition the whole neighborhood.  I guess now that i'm paying the bills  I get his point.    88 degrees now, but warmer and more humid tomorrow

Oh yes I heard that one all the time.  And the best one that is one of my dad's quotes is "do you think money grows on trees?"

We are getting another heat wave this weekend.  Gotta love 97 degrees and 1000% humidity.  Every time it is like that it makes me miss growing up on Lake Michigan.

Ha, ha - all things I have heard from my dad growing up.    Only I didn't grow up with AC.  But in the winter .......  For the most part just put the word "heat" in place of AC and you have it.  I have AC (and heating in the winter) now.

Today I get to work at an outdoor event for 3 hours.  Hot & Humid today.

EKB - not at all over reacting.

Beer in walk in coolers that are warm.

Health care billing phone discussions.

Viking fans.

The end of Lethal Weapon 2.

Paper towel sheets cut in half like we just need half.

Alien not winning an Oscar in 1979 just for the trailer.

2 huge benefits living high up in the Rockies (3 if you count legal Rocky Mountain High) are  no humidity and no bugs.  A few houseflies and of course a few bee types but over all none.  I don't even have screen doors, in fact right now I can see both front and back decks clearly without looking thru mesh.  I lived my first 60 years slapping skeeters, black and deer flies and being dragged down by oppressive humidity,  my yard and decks are sweet at dusk too.....love it here.

Of course there are Donkey fans to put up with and much like the hated FIB's we are over run with Texans.    Give me a FIB any day.
