I love the idea of Machado with a rental price tag (thinking guys like Domingo and maybe... Ortiz??, Keon). I still want a hammer at pitcher to compliment Jr.
If Machado were open to extension talk, that would be fun.
Hader.
Human.
Damn it.
Adding Machado even as a rental would be a lot of fun. Dude is having a really good season on a bad team.
Still hoping they add another pitcher. Guerra and Chacin have overachieved and the rookie phenom is well, a rookie. Anderson and Davies and Suter cannot be trusted at least not at this time.
Would Machado play 3rd or SS? Apparently he's a bit of a dumpster fire at SS.
He not braun at third bad
I'm having a hard time following that last post.
When was the last time the Crew had the lead and finished a game with Jeffreyβs, Hader and Knebel.....and lost???? The guys have been near unhittable all season.
Bound to happen at some point
Iβm more frustrated that they had two runners on base with no outs in the 10th and came up with nada
Oh well go get game 2 today
"I think it gets blown out of proportion when people say, 'Just hit a ground ball to short.' You can't just take a 98 mph cutting fastball in on your hands and do that. Let's just say I sell out tonight, and I try it four times. The likelihood of me hitting four straight ground balls to short and ending up 4-for-4 are very slim. If I succeed once or maybe twice, at best I'm going to go 2-for-4 with two singles, where if I just play the game, I might go 2-for-4 with a homer and a double. It makes no sense to me.
People make it sound like a shift is something that started the last few years. Hell, they used a shift against Ted Williams in the 1940's and 50's. And as great a hitter as he was, better than anybody in the game today, he had trouble beating it too. Read his autobiography, he talks all about it.
Orf is making me miss Sogard.
I said it.
The echoes you hear in the Marlins stadium is pretty pathetic.
Orf still is OPSing 100 points higher than Sogard was
Nice to see the Mayor go deep again
I mean, it's still a little early on these guys
but I still agree it is a win for the Crew
Good read.
Yelich is Croatian. So is Christian Pulisic.
Go Croatia.
Brewer bullpen keeps getting deeper.
Shouldn't we have a trade rumors thread? I mean, the Crew is a front runner for Manny Mach?

Good read. But I think Stearns fleeced the Red Sox more in the trade for Shaw.

It would be interesting to find out what they offered, but I am sure that the Brewers brass is smart enough to keep that as much a secret as they can. I'm thinking 1 guy of the triumvarate of Peralta, Burnes, and Hiura is the centerpiece of what they offered.

What if we named that thread "trades" and it was still on the front page if you were capable of scrolling?
Would that ****ing satisfy you?
