I was thinking Braun just needed some rest to recover from his various ailments.  He's actually playing much worse after all that rest than he was before.  Very disappointing.  That contract between he and the Brewers can't end fast enough if he keeps playing like he has been.

Is he really healthy or is he just trying to play through a chronic injury at this point? He's now 4 for his last 34 with no walks and an OPS of 364.

If he has any value at this point, it's as a DH in an American League park. He's obviously never been a good defender and playing the field just it makes it more likely he'll get injured.

He's got two more years and 36 million (plus a 4 million dollar buyout in 2021) left on his contract.

It was the Cain and Yelich show. Sure would be nice to get some production from somewhere else in the lineup. 7 for 9,  3 rbis, 3 runs scored, and ignited the rally to win.

I love Jeffress’ Fire. He gets that infield single with 2 outs, then buckles down and gets the out. Bad luck could have rattled him like it does Knebel- but nope. He got the job done. He should be the closer, honestly. Better command, right mentality.

Cain and Yelich were great, but a lot of contributions up and down the lineup. Guerra buckling down and keeping them in contact with 4 good innings after giving up 4 runs in the first two innings was big. Braun had a big pinch hit double and scored the tying run. The bullpen arms were outstanding.
