I'm not surprised Durkin worked under both Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh. Makes you wonder what is going on with those programs too.

Pretty damn disgusting.
He's gone. He should be gone no matter what his record, but he's 10-15 the last two years.
If this was Urban Meyer, they'd set up a committee to evaluate everything and he'd probably keep his job.
That was some read, sure sounds like the coaches treated their players like s$$$$t. and the head coach knows what the strengthening coach is doing, what a dirty program. I don't see how either coach survives this.

Verbally reminded by the coaches to attend an interview to complain about the coaches? Dude, blow that program up. From the president down they should all be fired.

The real story here I'd bet is how Under Armour, founded less than 20 years ago by a Maryland alum, now one of the biggest employers in the state, political power ($$$) at all levels, and perhaps the biggest current donor to the University of Maryland system in general and it's athletic programs in particular, has basically installed its lackeys and favored coaches/administrators all over the U of M athletic programs. They've destroyed the football program in the midst of one of the country's great recruiting belts, and have pretty much ruined the men's basketball program. Durkin and his staff should have been fired with cause weeks ago.
The BUM was reinstated as the head coach of the Terrapins today. 
One day after reinstating the BUM, Maryland fires Durkin .
Maybe he'll give some of his $5.1 million buyout to Jordan McNair's family. Yeah right.....
