W-O-W!

from article:

The university issued an initial statement earlier Friday before announcing its personnel decision that reads: "The alleged behaviors raised in the ESPN story are troubling and not consistent with our approach to the coaching and development of our student athletes. Such allegations do not reflect the culture of our program.

Yeah they do.

The real story here I'd bet is how Under Armour, founded less than 20 years ago by a Maryland alum, now one of the biggest employers in the state, political power ($$$) at all levels, and perhaps the biggest current donor to the University of Maryland system in general and it's athletic programs in particular, has basically installed its lackeys and favored coaches/administrators all over the U of M athletic programs. They've destroyed the football program in the midst of one of the country's great recruiting belts, and have pretty much ruined the men's basketball program. Durkin and his staff should have been fired with cause weeks ago.
