Braun's strikeout was based on that 2-1 pitch that was borderline
Ump has been consistent on both inside and outside all game IMO
Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooose!
Jeffress you POS you're so lucky moose saved your ass.
**** yeah! Brewers win!!
Iâll take the win, but how do you pitch to moose there?
Relax El. Enjoy it.

I honestly had no idea Morgan was throwing out the first pitch

That was idiotic. Having Yelich at third took the slider out of the equation - especially with the earlier wild pitch. That's probably why it was all fastballs.
Yelich OBP .800
Yelich SLG 1.667
OPS 2.447
Give Jefress some credit.
He could have folded in the 9th and easily given up 5. He bore down and minimized the bad outing.
Pretty clutch in hindsight.
Important to note that Ottavino going 30 pitches tonight may make him unavailable tomorrow.
Brewers also had all 5 relievers throw between 19 and 26 pitches. How many are available tomorrow? They'll have to get some innings out of the starter tomorrow.

Especially after Arcia booted the grounder.
Great way to come back after that brutal 9th. Big big win.
Knable can go an inning tomorrow, so can Soria. If Chacin can go 5 or even 6 you also have Peralta and Guerra available. And then that gives you Gonzales and a rested prime bullpen for Sunday.
I heard last week that Yelich had only 4 broken bats all season. He also had ZERO infield pop ups. That is how great a hitter he really is.
Great win, go get them tomorrow.
Watch some old clips of Joe DiMaggio....Yelich has the exact same glide....

I think realistically anyone other than Woodruff could go if absolutely needed. If Chacin can give you even 4, we're in good shape. Guerra, Gio, Miley, and Peralta...

Not the same bride tho

I think his swing is little like a young Darryl Strawberry. He's got that long step like Strawberry did. Yelich is obviously a better contact hitter, but Strawberry also had a very smooth swing.
I actually meant how he glides in the field.
Really uncanny reminder of Joltin' Joe.
Thank God for Moose. This is gonna be a long series if more guys don't step up offensively to help Yelich, but as least Moose did in the 10th.
I don't have a good feeling these next 2 games, but if they can scrap out a win tommorrow I'll be feeling much better.

Agreed. It wasn't his best outing, but he righted the ship just in time and Arcia's untimely error didn't help.
Thank God that ground rule double got overturned. If that wasn't ruled correctly, we probably don't get a happy ending for this game and Jeffress would really be in a "bad place" mentally.
Boy those first 4 batters were all over Jeffressâ fastball. But by the time he got to Story he was snapping off filthy splitters. I agree that he should be commended for getting out of it without losing the game. The foul ball saved his ass, but he hunkered down and gave them a chance to win- and Moose got it done.

That would be Jeffress you Giants fan. And...two ground ball base hits and getting out of that tied does not qualify as a POS.
I think every reliever is ready tomorrow.
Love to have a 4 run lead and use Guerra, but essentially every is a go tomorrow
octavio, otoh, a not
Game of inches. Or fractions of inches.
Anyone catch Arod's comment after the game that the Rockies are now in the drivers seat because all they had to do was steal one game in Milwaukee before they go back to Colorado?
Huh? Did they already lose game two?

Yeah he made a comment that âgimmicksâ only work short term and it will catch up with them. Referring to the bullpen start.ð
where have the bats gone? no punch at all at the plate
It is distressing, fortunately the Rocks bats have skipped out also
Chacin not only walks the pitcher, hes getting behind in the count often and at 56 pitches in the 3rd. not a sharp outing but no runs allowed so far
Found on the internet: Anderson throwing a lot of pitches inside out of the strike zone and Brewers are swinging at them. Seems like everyone is swinging for home runs and not contact. Just get on base.
Man I miss fundamental baseball.
They won't pitch to Yellich.
Base hit anyone? Naw, lets swing for the fence.
Leaving men on base again, causing too much stress!
