All hands on deck tomorrow. Get 3 from Chacin. 3 from Hader, 2 from Woodruff, and 1 from JJ. Put up 6 runs in the first 3 innings and coast home.

Please baseball and all sports deities, please let me have a reason to book a redeye flight for Friday night, then leaving Sunday AM - only $350 right now. God knows what tickets will cost, but it doesn't matter, I need to take my old man to the motherfukking World Series.

My apologies for not joining in last night.  My cardiologist wants me to limit excitement so I shutdown all electronics and sit by another TV than the one Sarge watches while watching last night.

Not really but I was too caught up in the moment to do anything else but enjoy!

Game thoughts.

Hitters going to opposite field was Jeenyous!  If that was at Cole's suggestion give the man a raise.

Counsell's stunt with starting lefties definitely has gotten into Roberts head.  He starts Freese to get at least one AB with right/left match up but then he splits his batting order to have a balance of left/right rather than stacking the whole lineup with right handed hitters.  This has to be consolation to the balance of Brewer bullpen and their effectiveness.  A+ Stearns and Counsell.

Arcia is a defensive machine.  But has anybody noticed our 3B is playing 2B this post season?

Finally, Scumbag soon to be overpaid 00000000000000000/4!

Party on!

I liked Shaw's attempt at bunting down the third base line. It was wide open, due to the shift and should have given him a double if he had bunted in play. We need to continue to use our at bats to find the holes instead of swinging for the fences. We also have to stay away from swinging at balls that end up at our ankles. Aguilar looked like he was golfing out there for a few of those pitches.  If Grandal is catching, at any point in the game, we need to make sure we get runners on second and third. Any pitch can turn into a passed ball with Grandal behind the plate. I was amazed when Roberts pulled Barnes and put Grandal in late in the game and then Grandal performed as expected.

So many reasons to love this team. After years of coming up small in the biggest moments, these guys come up big time and time again. It’s the best I’ve felt about this team since the great ‘82 squad.

When your best players are making the best plays, it bodes well. Burns was lights out. Miley paid for one mistake, then settled in. Jeffress was filthy and back to throwing upper 90s. Knebel slammed the door shut. And 4 runs with 2 outs to ultimately decide the game is the thing we’ve been waiting to see.

Lets get this one and go to the World Series, boys!!!

The whole story on Marlins Man is here.

He's a rich lawyer that is spending money and points/rewards he earned from his biz career traveling to sports events. I don't know or care about the guy. But...

On one hand, he's a guy with a schtick of wearing Marlins gear that many find annoying, and he's become a bit full of himself in some regards, and seems like a D-Bag.

On the other, we live in a hellscape timeline, where we'll likely all be fighting for water in a Mad Max world where it's 140 degrees every day by 2040, so I'm trying very hard not to mock things that bring people a fleeting moment of joy that at the end of the day aren't hurting anyone else.

Front Row Amy shows her cleavage. This guy wears Marlins gear. Meh.

That said, we can all agree that the ball hawk turd Zane Hample needs to be mauled by a grizzly though.

My son learned baseball in WI. He played T ball and little league in WI. He walked on Miller Park field as a little leaguer in WI. He’s playing varsity baseball and traveling teams in CA now. But his ties to WI baseball and Miller Park and the Brewers are forever. His friends in CA give him more crap for being a Packer fan. But he’s a Crew guy forever. Baseball is funny that way.
