First....

I hope all X4 members are safe and sound...what a S.O.B. of a storm.

Next, and I'm treading on thin ice here, so feel free to flame away, but...

What is the deal with the animated sign language translators who invariably stand next to the Governor or other officials during declared states of emergencies?

They're generally so animated and put their faces into such contortions...I can't concentrate on the message being imparted.....we have closed-captioning, right?

They be like Marcel Marceau on crack.

Rant over.

I can't find a decent youtube of it but there was a lady signing to the Dead & Co singing Casey Jones at Wrigley Field July 1, 2017 and they put her on the video screens here and there.  Watching her speed up with the song at the end for the lines of "driving that train, high on cocaine, Casey Jones you better watch your speed.  Trouble ahead, trouble behind..."   I was busting a gut.  Best signing I've ever seen, and what a show!

In my son's high school band concerts (jazz band and concert band) there is always a lady doing sign language during the performance, sitting on a side row of the auditorium.  I assume one of the parents/grandparents are deaf.  I've never seen or heard of this, as all the band concerts are instrumental only.  I found myself watching more of the hand signing than the actual band performing.
