Would a trade for future draft picks take Josh Jones' $1.154M salary clean off the books? CB Morris Claiborne, S Tre Boston, S Glover Quinn and S Eric Berry are still available out there, and might make for quality veteran adds to this team.
Claiborne was the Jets top CB last season and he set a career high for PDs. Boston had 10 of his 11 picks over the past 3 seasons. I wouldn't mind that kind of insurance. Can't have too many DBs.

I’m giddy about early reports out of camp on the OL. Sounds like Turner is the new RG. Starting 5 hasn’t been horrible the last 3 years. But this is the first time in years depth wasn’t a self induced ulcer heading into June. This is a very good OL with versatile depth. And it’s about time. If Spriggs figures it out. Great. If he doesn’t. That’s ok too. But GB doesn’t need Spriggs to figure things out. Maybe Spriggs will figure things out because of it.
Thought it was interesting GB put a waiver claim on TE Jordan Leggett. Didn’t get him but I’m cautiously optimistic GB has a real plan for the position, how to utilize the position, and RTFB.

Oh yeah, I think he played that up a little bit. I doubt Rodgers would be tossing back 12 oz of beer in under 4 seconds but there was definitely some bad acting going on there.

I don't remember him being big enough for that role. I did see one of the packers writers calling him out as a 2nd year guy to watch in TC though. Said he looked ready to make a big jump.

Allison appears to be the leading candidate for the slot.
Allison is a smart player, reminds me of Donald Driver, always working to advance his game.
Allison has the one thing a receiver absolutely has to have in this offense- the trust of AR. Expect him to pick up where he left off prior to the injury last year.

MLF is heavily emphasizing timing, timing, timing on these routes. WR is at spot X and Rodgers throws it to where he's going to be. Rodgers is also staying in the pocket much more.
Obviously, we'll see where this is at once pads go on but for Lort Jesus if we could have an offense where Rodgers isn't waiting 9 seconds for a guy to get open and just throws the ball in under 3? Amaze balls.

It will work great if Rodgers will make the throw on time. Injury forced him to throw on time against Chicago and it worked well. It wasn't always McCarthy calling slow developing plays.
Last year was a different animal. McPizzabox was stale. Rodgers knew it.
There were lots of examples where Rodgers passed up easy timing throws only to dance around and either take a sack or throw the ball away. It seems awesome when he makes a big play, but it would be easier on everyone if he would just throw on time.

The WRs better be in the right spot then.
I think Rodgers will have to accept an increased risk for interception under this offense. The go/no go decision has to come early in order to eliminate the pass rush as a factor. There will be times when the route is getting blown up as the throw is made. As long as the defense is no longer a grouper sized seine they should be able to survive the occasional INT. Hopefully Rodgers' ego will as well.

Anything injured doesn’t need coaching to fight for survival. It’s instinct. Script is out the window. Coaching is separating execution from survival. Tough to have the latter without the former.

J'mon Moore will be interesting to watch. Still considered by many to be the most talented between MVS, EQ and him, his confidence and the confidence of #12 just wasn't there last year and he couldn't grasp MM's offense.
Moore said he definitely went through growing pains as a rookie but learned a lot is a focused player going into this season. He probably has the most pure talent and ability. You'd see him run good routes in TC and PS but then flat out drop the ball right in his hands.
Can he change that? Will MLF's offense be easier to grasp?
Of note, for the past couple practices Jake Kumerow has been ahead of J’Mon Moore in the pecking order. Today EQ, MVS, Allison & Kumerow practicing with the starters, while J’Mon is on the opposite end of the field with the second group.
