To OAK, per Ian Rapp.

YES!!!   Not trying to be an A-hole, but his speed didn't make up for poor decision making.  Not a smart fellow.

I love the proactive approach of moving on before he makes a mistake that costs us a game.

Wasn't as much concerned about the cerebral stuff, much more about inability to stay healthy. Also says a lot about what they think about Sheppard and the new kid they picked up from the Chiefs.

It's coming off a game where he committed a 15 yard penalty by signaling fair catch and then blocking, didn't signal a fair catch and got rocked, fielded a ball with tons of space in front of him but couldn't pull the trigger on a line and fell down twice.

Point being, those other things come into play, but I believe the major factor is football IQ.

That's right he did do that. Fair points.

He also yelled bomb at an airport and got arrested. Forgot about that as well.

JSO had a good article about Gute and his churning of the roster.  I'd love to see a move, as was mentioned in the article, to get another offensive weapon.  Likely wouldn't happen til mid-season.

He’s on the roster to be a returner, he doesn’t seem to be doing anything as a returner thus far. It’s not that he’s bad at all, but the roster needs to be improving all the time. If they think they have a better returner on the roster then this was a good move. No hard feelings toward Davis, not a bad guy, he just couldn’t get it done.

Rumored to be on the trade block prior to cutdown. Could be dynamic as a returner, but as the last game shows he remained a liability due to his poor decisions.

Other than Goalline (natch) I picture this as the embodiment of the collective rhythm of all X4 posters, except japf who does not have any.

“One of the top returners in the league” really Ian Rappaport?  Do you watch any Packers games?

Davis is a wannabee football player.  He does the absolute minimum to keep a roster spot and that’s assuming he’s healthy.  He’s basically a step up from Josh Jones so eff them both and good riddens.

Sure, but the fact that some of those cut are on other rosters mean they were productive draft picks, right??

Thanks Ted.

My thoughts exactly.  Doesn't take much to be a 'top returner' in Rappaport's view.

One of the top kick returners?  Maybe I have missed something but all I think of him is that he fair catch punts and catch kickoffs in the endzone and not much else.

I freaking love the job Gute is doing with this roster.  He doesn't stand pat and if you aren't contributing?  We will find someone who will.

J'Mon Moore is currently the only 4th round pick from his class NOT on an NFL roster.

THX Gute.

Just another reason not to believe TC/Preseason fluff.

Ty Summers is a god damn superstar.

What happened to Trophies? Man, he's gotta be on cloud nine right now. Bought the SB tickets already.
